Meltan and Melmetal are very interesting because they debuted in Pokémon GO. However, you can also catch them in the Mega Dimensions DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Where to find Meltan¶
Quest location.
You’ll need to catch Meltan.
First, you must’ve captured Rayquaza in the postgame DLC mission “The Greatest Gift”.
Head to Rouge Sector 1. Near Autumnal Avenue, there’s a woman who’ll give you Side Mission 193 Dreams of Meltan. You’ll be tasked with catching a Level 70 Meltan nearby.
Meltan is a Steel type, so be wary of using super-effective Fire type moves etc. so you don’t accidentally faint it. However if it does faint, you can try again.
Where to find Melmetal¶
Use the cheapest donut you’ve got.
Melmetal will join you without any fuss.
After successfully catching Meltan, a Hyperspace portal will appear in front of you. Use any old donut to enter. Inside the pocket dimension, go over to the girl surrounded by Meltan.
You’ll automatically receive a Level 80 Melmetal.
Leave Hyperspace Lumiose. Back outside, the side mission will conclude. Mind you, they won’t always be this easy!
