Hawlucha is one of the stranger combinations of Pokemon types in Pokemon Legends ZA. This wrestling bird Pokemon is an absolute powerhouse with its Fighting and Flying dual-typing, making it a versatile addition to any team. With its Mega Evolution available in the game, Hawlucha becomes an even more formidable fighter for both storyline and potentially PvP off meta combat. If you want to use this Pokemon in your party, here is how to get Hawlucha in Pokemon Legends ZA.

Hawlucha Locations¶
Hawlucha is a strange Pokemon, and like many it can only appear on rooftops. Here are all of the Hawlucha locations in Pokemon Legends ZA we have been able to verify so far. We’ll even throw in some tops on getting to some of these buildings and nearby benches to help try to force spawn it in game:
- Magenta Sector 1: This one is on top of a roof directly southeast from Wild Zone 7 and west of Wild Zone 20 - aka the tower. To get here, simply climb the tower in the center of the building block. You may find the Hawlucha location towards the western side of the rooftops, but it can move around so check the wider rooftop area. If it has not spawned, there are several benches to the north by the waterfront to rest at. Map Marker
- Magenta Sector 9: Fast travel to Quasartico Inc and follow the street paths northwest. You should come to an enclosed spawn to your left. Climb the ladder (any of them will do) and check the edge of the rooftops. We’ve seen one spawn here, which can be a level 34 Alpha. So, try to beat it quickly before it engages and becomes hard to capture. If you need to reset this area, there is a bench near one of the ladders or on the northern side of the building’s rooftop. - Rogue Sector Shopping Arcade: If you look towards Rogue Center’s big shopping arcade (where one of the potential roof spawns are for Riolu). You need to climb the ladder to the south of the shipping arcade building. From there, follow the rooftop south, then you should find a bridge to the building slightly west. Cross over and go north, then across another web bridge you can make to the rooftop to the right. This should take you to a roof where a Hawlucha can spawn. If you need a bench there is one before the web bridge you cross to the final rooftop. Map Marker
- Near Wild Zone 8: You need to go to the Hibernal Pokemon Center between Jaunte and Rogue Sectors. Climb up the rooftop there, get the web bridge slightly south, cross over to the rooftops north of Wild Zone 8 and then glide over to the northwest building of the Wild Zone to check this spot. You will need the glider skill to reach this spot. If you do farm this, you can possibly get a Dratini from the same rooftop too. If you need a bench, check the Pokemon Center you started exploring from. Map Marker
Chose whichever interests you the most. Since there’s a few rarer Pokemon nearby, it swell worth picking which one and try to get some of the rarer ones in these areas too. Or go for an easier one if you want one.
Hawlucha Mega Evolution¶

Unlike most other Pokemon, this only has a Mega Evolution form. To do make Hawlucha Mega evolve, you will need a 
Hawluchanite. This can only be acquired by grabbing it from the Rogue Mega Hawlucha. You will do this as part of Main Mission 17. Once you defeat it, you will get the stone.
When you do get your own Hawlucha or come against the Rogue Mega, these are the types of differences to expect stat wise.
As you can see, Hawlucha becomes much better at its attack and defense, with some special improvements, it also gets much faster. This is quite a strong spread of stat differences. It clearly favors more physical moves, but its all around better in mega form regardless. So, it’s a solid early game mega option if you need a flyer or a fighter.
