Wild Zone 16
How to Unlock Wild Zone 16¶

Reaching Rank C.
Wild Zone 16 Location¶
You can find Wild Zone 16 at the heart of the south-west quadrant of Lumiose City, within Bleu Plaza.

Falinks Location¶
Falinks
Falinks are found all around the edge of the wild zone. Can’t miss ‘em. They’re always lookin’ for a fight, so feel free to give them one. You can trounce them with Fairy and Psychic moves. Stealth is also an option with the bushes inside the center, but these things are so common it’s barely worth the effort.
Flaaffy Location¶
Flaaffy
Flaaffy can be found towards the north-east. They’re passive, but there’s an angry Alpha
Ampharos among them. Since the Flaaffy aren’t going anywhere, you can lure out the Ampharos and give it a solid thrashing with Ground moves before returning to round them up.
Starmie Location¶
Starmie
Starmie is a rare spawn near the northern fountain at night. If you see Barbaracle instead, it means Starmie hasn’t spawned. What you can do is fast-travel to Wild Zone 5 nearby, then turn around and check if a Starmie has spawned. If not, keep repeating until it does. It has a 10% spawn rate so can take a while.
Once Starmie has spawned, you can try to sneak up on it. But first clear out any nearby Falinks. If you fail to catch the Starmie using stealth (or decide against it), you can try to slowly whittle down its health with weak or not very effective moves.
Net Balls or
Dusk Balls are great.
Barbaracle Location¶
Barbaracle
Barbaracle appear near the northern fountain at night. They seem to have a very basic patrol route, so you should be able to easily sneak up. If stealth doesn’t work, that’s fine, just take them head on. You could even knock them out and use the catch window since they’re pretty common. They respawn after 3 minutes.
Medicham Location¶
Medicham
Medicham can be found near the northern fountain during the day. You can use the hedges to sneak up on them and throw a
Quick Ball etc. Otherwise, you can just beat them up. They’re somewhat common and respawn after 3 minutes.
Florges Location¶
Florges
Florges are a rare spawn near the northern fountain during the day. You can use the same trick for finding Starmie. Fast-travel to Wild Zone 5, then turn around and check if a Florges has spawned. If not, keep fast-traveling until it does. It has a 15% spawn rate, split between the blue and white flower variants.
Once Florges has spawned, clear out any nearby Falinks first. Then try and get it with a back shot if you can. It has a low catch rate, so you may need to fight it. Should that happen, hit it with weak or not very effective moves like usual.
Froakie Location¶
Froakie
Froakie is sitting atop the stone monument at the very center. It will routinely change direction to scout for intruders. If it spots you, it’ll run off. Unless you stumble upon a shiny Froakie straight away, it’s probably best if you just let Froakie spot you. Once it’s buggered off, approach the monument and find a bush to hide in.
Then wait 1 minute for a new Froakie to spawn. After that, do a back shot with a Net Ball etc. If you must catch the very first Froakie, godspeed.
