What is Eviolite?¶

Eviolite is for Pokémon that can still evolve.

Eviolite is a hold item that increases the Defense and Sp. Def stats for Pokémon that can still evolve. For example, you could give it to a Scyther to hold, since it can still evolve into Scizor.

Pokémon that can mega evolve do not qualify. So Scizor would gain nothing even though it can mega evolve.

Eviolite Location¶

Eviolite is obtained as a reward from Side Mission 100 Starmie on High. This is available once Main Mission 35 begins and only appears during the day.

Head east from Wild Zone 7, along the north side of the canal. There’ll be a woman standing there: Map Marker

Your task is to return when it’s night with a Starmie in your party. You can wait until it’s night or find a park bench to rest, etc.

Starmie can be caught in Wild Zone 16 during the night, near the fountain. However, it’s somewhat rare and usually you’ll find Barbaracle there instead.

If you can’t find one, you can catch a Staryu from Wild Zone 2 at night, then use a Water Stone to evolve it. You can buy Water Stones from the Stone Emporium.

Once you’ve brought along your Starmie to the designated location, enjoy (or speed through) the quirky dialogue and before you know it, you’ll have your Eviolite reward.
