How to Beat and Get Mega Dragonite
Pyroar is one of the big fire type normal creatures that you can find in Pokémon Legends: AZ. If you want yourself a big beast, and something different from the Hondours, then there’s the
Litleo and Pyroar combos. Also, with Pokémon Legends ZA specializing in all new Mega Pokémon evolutions, there’s plenty of new evolutions in the game that you can use. One of these is Mega Pyroar. Here’s everything you need to know about Mega Pyroar in in Pokémon Legends ZA.

How to get Mega Pyroar¶
To get Mega Pyroar, you need to do the following:
- Grab a Litleo from Wild Zone 3 Map Marker - There’s sometimes a mega spawn in the mausoleum building that’s level 22 to help speed the grind up if you can take it on. Alternatively go and get Pyroar from Wild Zone 17 (level 44) when you progress that far.
- Evolve Litleo to Pyroar at level 35.
- Progress through the Secrets of Mega Evolution quest (Main Mission 10) and beat the trainer associated with it.
- You will then unlock the Quasartico Inc. headquarters and a vendor at the reception will sell you mega stones. Here you can gradually buy Mega Stones, and then unlock more as the main story progresses.
- Work your way through the post game to Mission 39 for the Infinite ZA Royale. Purchase the
Pyroarite for 240
Mega Shards from the progressed headquarters vendor. - Now give the Pyroarite to your Pyroar to hold it. You will now be able to turn Pyroar into Mega Pyroar when you build enough mega charge up.
This is unfortunately one of those late game mega evolutions you will find. If you’re a big fan it’s likely something you can collect in the post game for your seasonal challenges and end game PvP if you opt for it.
Mega Pyroar Details¶
When the Pokémon evolves into its mega form, it won’t undergo a massive change. It remains a dire normal type Pokémon still. It does get some stat changes, with the key changes being
- 129 attack
- 126 speed
It means it gets some decent attack and its speed makes it a fast hitting Pokémon for battles.
Also, the female version doesn’t seem to get a unique form either. The female Pyroars have the slick mane, but when they evolve, they also get the mega mane, the same as the male versions. The shiny version of Mega Pyroar replaces their fiery mane for a golden mane instead.
As for movesets, not much changes for the Pyroar. You keep the same moves since you don’t necessarily change type. But, again, your moves will be empowered so if you want a harder hitting fire normal type with a few TMs, this could be a pick for your arsenal.
