Where to Find Tynamo¶
Tynamo can be found in Wild Zone 10, located in the water at the east exit of the zone. It can spawn during both day and night, but appears more commonly at night.
If you have not yet unlocked it, proceed through the main story by defeating the early game Rogue Megas to progress the storyline.
Tynamo Evolutions¶
Tynamo has a straightforward evolution line with one important item requirement for its final form:
- Tynamo evolves into
Eelektrik at level 39 - Eelektrik can evolve into Eelektross by using a
Thunder Stone on it.
It’s a fairly simple grind to be fair. Simply level up Tynamo as normal, either through combat, passive party XP, letting it get the last hit on a Pokemon in battle, or funneling it XP Candies. From there, evolve it when it reaches level 39. We’ve got some EXP farming tips if you need it.
If you need a quick
Thunder Stone, you can get one near the Vernal Pokemon Center in the Blue District. Simply fast travel there, then cross the road east and then use the Holovator to access the rooftops. Now go to the southern edge of the rooftops to get the Thunder Stone item pickup. Simple. Map Marker

Mega Evolution¶
Eelektross is one of the brand new Pokemon to receive a Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends Z-A. The
Eelektrossite can be acquired by exchanging 240
Mega Shards at the Quasartico Inc. headquarters after completing Main Mission 19. You can collect Mega Shards by destroying the pink crystal clusters scattered around Lumiose City.
When Eelektross Mega Evolves, it undergoes significant stat increases:
| Name | HP | Attack | Defense | Special Attack | Special Defense | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 85 | 115 | 80 | 105 | 80 | 50 | |
| Mega |
85 | 145 | 80 | 135 | 90 | 80 |
With its balanced offensive stats (145 Attack and 135 Special Attack), Mega Eelektross functions as an excellent mixed attacker, capable of utilizing both physical and special Electric-type moves effectively. The massive Speed boost from 50 to 80 is particularly notable, making Mega Eelektross far more viable in competitive battles. If you need a Water or Electric type, consider grinding through Tynamo’s evolutions and getting this far.
