The Budew Show is a Side Quest that can be found in Lumiose City, and can be accessed once you’ve completed the main quest “Reaching Rank W”. Read on to find out where you need to go and what you get for completing the quest.

Starting The Budew Show Side Quest¶

Once you’ve completed the main quest “Reaching Rank W”, head on over to the Vernal Pokémon Center which is located to the southeast of Wild Zone 5 and Jardin and he’ll invite you along to participate in a friendly competition showcasing Budew.

Find a Budew and ₽5,800¶

Budew can be found roaming around the southern area of the island. If you are unable to capture it from behind, then you’ll need to defeat it first which can be done by using Pokémon with any of the following elements: Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug, Ground, Psychic-based moves. You won’t be able to participate in the competition until you’ve got at least ₽5,800 and you can easily acquire this by completing other side quests or by battling your way through the nightly battle zones!

and sneak up on the Budew to capture it!

With the correct amount of funds and a Budew in your possession, head over to Jardin who can be found near the Fountain Square which is located in the Bleu Sector 8 and a short scene will play out. Your Budew is obviously the best and will win the competition which will reward you with ₽10,000 and bring the quest to a close.
