Buneary Evolutions and Level Explained
Mega Camerupt Weaknesses
Budew is one of the Grass/Poison-type Pokemon available in Pokemon Legends ZA, and it evolves into
Roselia. Roselia is a cute early-mid game Pokemon from earlier generations, offering players a strong Grass type Pokemon for their party with access to a Mega Evolution through its final evolution,
Roserade. If you’re set in your ways, or simply want to tick off those pokemon for your Mabel dex collection, here’s how to get and evolve Budew in Pokemon Legends ZA.

How to get Budew¶
If you’re looking to collect these Pokemon, then you can get Budew, Roselia, and Rosarade from various locations around the map. So you can skip Budew’s Evolution entirely if you want.
- Budew’s Location: Easiest to find in Wild Zone 2. Map Marker However, it can be found in a lot of places around the map, from rooftops, to gardens and more.
- Roselia’s Location: You can find the Roselia and skip the Budew evolution by unlocking Wild Zone 7, which is around Main Mission 10. Map Marker
- Roserade’s Location: If you are at the late game, you can skip Roselia’s evolution too by unlocking Wild Zone 20, which is the final Wild Zone unlock you get from the late main mission storyline. Map Marker
So, if you’re after the Dex completing, feel free to try those locations above. Be advised that the Wild Zone 20 has a lot of Pokemon that can spawn in int. Dex completionists will live in that zone trying to get all the Pokemon that can spawn in it. It will take a while due to the limited spawns and the high amount of pokemon in the potential spawn pool.
How to evolve Budew¶
If you’re settled on Budew, you will need to evolve it. However, this does not require a level evolution. Instead, it needs the friendship / happiness system instead. To increase the happiness of you mon, you need to do the following:
- Keeping Budew as your active Pokemon while exploring
- Using it in battles
- Giving it items like Vitamins or
Protein - Buy a meal from a cafe and sit with your Pokemon
- Feed it friendly berries like
Kelpsy Berry,
Hondew Berry, or Qualot berries
Once you hit the invisible threshold and it’s daytime, you will notice the evolve symbol appear on the Pokemon. This will enable you to evolve it into Roselia! If it is night - it will not evolve regardless of its happiness level. We have a more detailed guide on friendship level in Pokemon Legends ZA here.
Roselia to Roserade Evolution¶
From Roselia, you can evolve it further into Roserade using a
Shiny Stone. You can find Shiny Stones in the following locations
- Magenta Sector 3: Map Marker
- Scaffolding South of Wild Zone 5 Map Marker
- On a roof near the park between WIld Zone 17 and 11. Map Marker
Once you have a Shiny Stone, simply give it to Roselia to trigger the evolution into Roserade.
Now, unfortunately, Mega Roserade is not in this game. It is a fan concept, but it did not make it into the game yet. Or any for that matter. So, you’re largely evolving them for Dex completion. Or, you really like the grass and poison types on it for your party.
