Pokemon Legends: ZA has brought back Johto as the starters, allowing you to get your hands on Chikorita, Totodile, and Tepig. And while that’s cool for some of the old school 90’s kids, younger generations also have their favorites. Luckily for all of us, you can get multiple starters by playing through Pokemon Legends ZA.

How to get Kanto starters and Gen 1 Pokemon¶

If you’re looking to grab the other starters, then Wild Zone 20 is absolutely bonkers. The area is fairly large, and it has a lot of different spawns in its area. So, you’ll be farming this region quite a lot. To get access to it, you need to progress the main story. This is how you gradually unlock more wild zones in the game. This one is very far into the main story, so it will require a bit of a main story push to reach it.

In terms of the Kanto starters, you can get the following:

• Bulbasaur
• Charmander
• Squirtle

You can also get other Gen 1 Pokemon from here too, including the likes of Raichu, Alakazam, Gyarados, some evolved Eevee forms like Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon. There’s also some high profilers like Gengar, Dragonite, and more.

It is also worth mentioning that the other starter pokemon for Pokémon Legends ZA can spawn here too. So, if you want to grab all starters, this is the zone for it. Each one has a roughly 5% chance to spawn as an alpha, including the Kanto starter Pokémon too. So, you can get some good spawns from this Wild Zone.

Kalos Starters¶

To get Kalos starters, complete Main Mission 5. You will then be able to explore the city a bit more. From here you can do the following:

Chespin	Side Mission 7: “A Feisty Chespin”	Rouge Sector 2 near the Centrice Pokemon Center
Froakie	Side Mission 9: “A Challenge from Froakie”	North of Juane Pokemon Center in the north boulevard.
Fennekin	Side Mission 8: “Get well, Fennekin”	Magenta Sector 2 - near the Magenta Plaza.
