How to Beat and Catch Zygarde
Delibird is one of the most notorious pokemon to catch in Pokemon Legends ZA. It is extremely skittish and will run away when it is spotted by a trainer. There’s a few like that, but given Delibird’s somewhat higher level, it is kinda hard to come by. This make it hard for collectors looking for all Pokemon, or completing Mabel’s research tasks. Here’s a look at how to catch Delibird in Pokemon Legends ZA to tick it off your list.

How to catch Delibird in ZA¶
To catch Delibird, you will need to have unlocked Wild Zone 12. This will spawn Delibirds in around the Wild Zone. It can also spawn on the various rooftops around Wild Zone 12 too, but you will need to have unlocked the double jump and glide moves to be able to cross the rooftop to the buildings adjacent to the southern Wild Zone 12 border. When you find Delibird, you will need to make sure you are sneaky. If Delibird is alerted to your presence, it will run away. This really gives you 2 quick choices to make:
- Sneak up to Delibird before being spotted and throw a Quick or
Ultra Ball at it. - Have a Pokemon out that can empower its attacks and land a super effective move, that hopefully crits it to beat it in one shot - Feel free to use a Plus Move Mega version of that move if you can.
If you opt for the stealth catch, be advised that
Quick Ball and Ultra Balls offer the best catching chances. Though, because it’s surprised at full HP, it will increase the chances of it being caught too. It’s not guaranteed.
The combat one is likely more riskier, thanks to it being put in combat also forcing it to run away within a second or two. If you opt for this method, make sure that Pokemon is over leveled at least and counters it. We highly recommend you use the following types against it:
- Rock - 4X
- Fire, Electric, Steel - 2x
We reckon this puts pokemon like Riolu or
Lucario as good examples with their Steel and Rock TMs. You could also grab
Arons from Wild Zone 14 if you’d like and return here to use it as a perfect Rock and Steel counter, or grab an
Onix and evolve into
Steelix if needed from Wild Zone 14 too.
The good thing about both Lucario and Steelix is that these are some early game mega stones too. You can get
Lucarionite from the Quartico Inc, while you get
Steelixite for 70,000 at the Stone Emporium store. So, these are decent options for that Mega evolved, plus move, super-effective one shot.
