Starting A Use for an Evolution Stone Side Quest¶

Once you’ve reached the main quest “The City in the Shadow Prism Tower” you’ll be required to complete some side missions and one of which is “A Use for an Evolution Stone”. To begin this quest, head over to Tracie who can be found in Passage du Palais and she’ll mention that she needs a Pokémon that requires a Thunder Stone to evolve which means Pikachu is the perfect candidate!

Head to the southeast corner of Wild Zone 3

to find several Pikachu’s.

You may have already caught Pikachu which means you can give it to her on the spot but if you haven’t then you’ll need to track it down. Head over to Wild Zone 3 which is located to the north of Prism Tower and you’ll find Pikachu in the southeast corner. If you are unable to capture it from behind, then you’ll need to defeat it first which can be done by using Ground-based Pokémon.

With Pikachu in Tracie’s possession, the quest will come to a close and you’ll be given Heracross which is a Bug/Fighting Type Pokémon which will be very useful in the A Big Ol Bunnelby Side Mission and 800 Poke Dollars, 5 Poké Balls and 3 Potions!
