How to get Lucario and its Mega Evolution
For those of us idolizing the early gen Pokémon still, Dragonite is still one of our prime time dragon friends. Luckily for us, Dragonite is an evolution available for players in Pokemon Legends: ZA, and it too has its own Mega Evolution. Here is everything you need to know about Dragonite’s Mega Evolution in Pokémon Legends ZA and other tips on it.

How to get a Dragonite¶
Firstly, you will need to get your hands on a Dragonite. To do so, you can get one in the following locations or methods:
Dratini or
Dragonair: Dratini can be found in Bleu Sector 9, Jaune Sector 3, Magenta District, Rouge District, Vert Sector 6. Map Marker
Dragonite: Dragonite’s location is in Wild Zone 20, which unlocks towards the end of the main story missions Map Marker
It’s much easier to get Dratini or Dragonair earlier in the main story if you’re working towards a Dragonite. Just remember they evolve fairly late, as the evolution levels are as follows:
- Dratini > Dragonair at level 30
- Dragonair > Dragonite at level 55
Wild Zone 20 however is right at the end of the game when you’re deep into the Royale. Also, there are a lot of Pokemon in that zone. So, chances of Dragonite spawning in there is somewhat low, as it’s competing with a lot of spawns. So, you may need to do a lot of Wild Zone battles in there if you’re target farming Dragonite. You use our shiny hunting tips to make repeat farming even easier for helping to accelerate your Dragonite farming spawns.
How to BeatRogue Mega Dragonite¶
When you get Dragonite, you can get a Mega Evolution for it. To do so, you need to first beat the Rogue Mega Dragonite boss battle in Main Mission 32. This is towards the end of the main storyline. To beat it, you ideally want a Fairy or Electric Pokemon, since Dragonite is both a Flying and Dragon type Pokemon. It also has weaknesses to Ice, Rock, and Dragon too, which is something to consider with your party if you’re struggling to beat it. Though, you should avoid Rock as they are often paired with either Ground, Steel, or Water, which are either weak to Dragon or not very effective against Dragonite.
Some Pokémon we recommend for it are as follows:
How to Get Mega Dragonite: Stats Overview¶
When it is defeated, you will be awarded the
Dragoninite, which is a Mega Stone for that Pokémon. Once you get yourself a Dragonite yourself from the methods listed above, you can give it the stone. Giving the Dragoninite stone for it to carry enables its mega form in your own battles.
Go into battle then press in the right stick to transform Dragonite when it’s on the field and you have enough Mega Power stored.
If you do opt to transform Mega Dragonite, you will get new stats for it. In general the HP stays the same, and your regular attack is slightly lowered. But your defense and special stats are dramatically buffed.
| Name | HP | ATK | DEF | SpAtk | SpDef | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 91 | 134 | 95 | 100 | 100 | 80 | |
| Mega |
91 | 124 | 115 | 145 | 125 | 100 |
So, if you intend to try to outpace your opponent or use elemental type attacks with your Dragonite, then special attack is exceptionally good, especially against opponents with poorer elemental defense stats, especially if you counter it. It should help delete weaker Dragon and Steel types for example.
