Where to find Scraggy in Legends Z-A
Where to Find Hawlucha Locations
Dratini is one of the popular Pokemon in Pokemon Legends ZA, thanks to this cute little Gen 1 dragon being both cute and deadly at the same time. This little dragon creature evolves into the powerful
Dragonite, which has one of the better Mega Evolutions for both Rogue Mega and other trainer boss battles in the main storyline. If you want to use that Pokemon in your party, here is how to get Dratini in Pokemon Legends ZA.

Where to find a Dratini Location¶
Dratini is a random spawn chance across various rooftops in Pokemon Legends ZA. Here are the Dratini locations we have been able to verify so far:
- Near Wild Zone 11 and 6: We;ll start with this one as its likely the easiest and earliest one to get to. From Wild Zone 11, you should see a row of buildings along the circular road to the east of Wild Zone 7 or south of 6. Follow that main, circular road to the large park and pond area. You should find a ladder that takes you up to a tall building. Climb up, then roll to the building to the north to land on the roof. You can find a potential Dratini spawn up on that building. Thankfully there’s a bench in the park by the lake you can rest at to try and force respawn it. Map Marker
- Bleu District: Go to Wild Zone 10 and check the building diurectly south near the edge of the city. A Dratini can spawn on that building’s rooftop. Map Marker
- Magenta Sector 8: Another one has a chance to spawn on the rooftop near the Pokemon Center. Climb up the Holovator to the road leading east from the center then cross the various bridges and glide across to the building north. There’s more bridges that lead to where the Dratinin can spawn. - Near Wild Zone 8: To access this possible Dratini rooftop spawn, you need to go to the Hibernal Pokemon Center between Jaunte and Rogue Sectors. Climb up the rooftop there, get the web bridge slightly south, cross over to the rooftops north of Wild Zone 8 and then glide over to the northwest building of the Wild Zone to check this spot. - Jaune Sector 5: This one is very close to the one above. To get this go to Hibernal Pokemon Center again, go north then check the gardens near Cafe Kizuna. Climb the ladder, then go south two building while gliding to find another possible Dratini rooftop location. Map Marker
- Near Wild Zone 4: You can glide over from a nearby block of flats to the rooftops directly east from Wild Zone 4. There’s another possible Dratinin on the rooftop. Map Marker
Dratini Evolution¶
Dragonite is the final form when you start leveling your Dratini up. Image via Gamer Guides / Nintendo.
When you get your hands on a Dratini, you are on your way to a Dragonite.
- At level 30, Dratini can evolve into
Dragonair. - From there, Dragonair evolves into Dragonite at level 55.
Dratini is a pure Dragon-type Pokemon, maintaining this typing through Dragonair before gaining the Dragon/Flying dual-type when it evolves into Dragonite. This makes the final evolution particularly powerful, though it does introduce additional weaknesses to consider.
However, be advised if you want to try the Mega Evolution, you will need to beat a Rogue Mega Dragonite as part of the main storyline. You will fight Rogue Mega Dragonite around mission 2. So, you will need to be far into the main storyline before you get to make full use out of your Dratinin evolution journey to use the new features in Pokemon Legends ZA. If you need assistance with that mission, we have a more detailed guide on what to expect from Rogue Mega Dragonite and its mega form viability over there.
