Snake Doctor is one of the world bosses in Where Winds Meet. This one is a little tucked away in Qinghe, and is hard to get to. But, it’s one of the bosses that you can easily beat solo if you need to, but with the hazards of getting in, it does make it harder to enter. Here’s a closer look at where to find and how to beat the Snake Doctor in Where Winds Meet.

To find Snake Doctor, you need to head to the Encircling Lake in Qinghe. When you arrive at the lake, head to the west side of the cliff, closer to the main road. You will find a cave entrance by the cliff side with an NPC nearby from the Silver Needle group. You will get the Dead Man’s Secret Wandering Tale for your troubles which will help you enter the cave to find the World Boss. But you don’t need to do it per say.
When you enter the cave, be mindful of the pit of snakes. These things are quite strong, and with several of them attacking, they can quickly kill you. Avoid going into the pit, and dash over using Lightness skills where possible to either run along the wall or dash over them. You need to move left as soon as you enter the cave to avoid them. Consider taking a Spiritual Art skill that grants defensive buff, such as the Golden Bell from the Grand Imperial Temple, or unlocking the Thundercry Blade and getting the self absorb tanking skill to mitigate unnecessary damage.
Snake Doctor Tips¶

The boss itself is not too bad, but the difficulty can depend on how hard you were hit with the snake pit entering the boss room.
But, in general the first phase of the boss’ moves are somewhat fairly easy. The boss has a pole, which is fairly telegraphed combo of attacks, with side swipes, up swipes and those type of gap closer pole stabs.
The other high profile move you will need to watch for is the boss’ smoke screen skill. The boss will deploy three smoke bombs, which then detonate. While the smoke grenades are there, the boss will hide behind them, and do a red attack, which will poke you from behind the smoke bombs. You need to perfect parry this move to avoid it, or perfect dodge if your build requires it.
The other thing to be aware of is the boss can do a backflip to disengage from your combos. While the boss does this, he can throw some fan of knives type attacks at you. While it’s not a lot of damage it’s something to be mindful of with the attacks to not catch you off guard. It’s often followed up with another ranged attack while he’s stood still. Again, be mindful of that move too.
The boss doesn’t really do anything else in the next phase of its health bar, it tends to do its stronger moves more often and be more aggressive though. It’s something to be mindful of.
