Campaign Bosses in Where Winds Meet¶
To start, your main bosses will be the ones you encounter as you play through the main quest in solo mode. Each Campaign Chapter will have a boss associated with it, which will unlock bosses to farm gear with scaling difficulty, targeting different gear score checks with each bracket. You will need to spend some of your stamina on these bosses, which you get around 450 back every 24 hours. So, target farm the bosses that give you the sets you want for your particular weapon build.
You can normally tell where these bosses are on the map via the red sword with the titled straw hat icons across both Kaifeng and Qinghe. Though, you will unlock the Heartseeker and Qianye bosses as part of the main quest storyline in Chapter 1. The rest you can sort of do anytime by finding the campaign boss markers on the map and starting their questline.
| Boss | Campaign | Tier Set Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Heartseeker | Still Shore Campaign | Hawking Set |
| Qianye | Blissful Retreat Campaign | Swallowcall Set |
| Black God of Wealth | Furnace of the Righteous | Greaves |
| Dao Lord | Unbound Cavern | Rinwhisper Set |
| Lucky Seventeen | Palace of the Annals | Jadeware Set |
| Murong Yuan | Jadewood Court | Swallowcall Set |
| Tian Ying | Halo Peak | Greaves |
| Void King | Gleaming Abyss | Hawking Set |
| Ye Wanshan | Bodhi Sea | Jadewire Set |

If there’s a boss you want to start. Simply find the locations mentioned above. From here, check the icon, and get the clue to start that campaign chapter in that region to unlock the boss.

World Bosses are a little different, with them appearing on the map. You can easily wander up to them and start an instanced battle with them, with your solar or in a group in coop. These bosses are often indicated on the map with the red skull icon. They can easily be found by opening the journal, and clicking on the world boss section and selecting the one you want to fight.
| World Boss | Location | Level recommendation | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shadow Puppet - Muqi | Northern Bamboo Grove - Qinghe | 35 | Medium-Hard |
| Sleeping Daoist | Jadebrook Mountain - Qinhe | 35 | Medium |
| Snake Doctor | Encircling Lake - Ginghe | 35 | Hard |
| Shadow Puppet - Curtaincall | Island north of the Floral Expanse Beyond - Qinghe | 35 | Medium-Hard |
| Earth Wind Deity | Peace Bell Tower - Qinhe | 35 | Easy |
| Yi Dao | Dream Blissful Retreat World (Requires Completing the Blissful Retreat main story chapter and interacting with on Yi Dao’s sword on the ground) | 35 | Easy |
| Twin Lions | South Gracetown - Kaifeng | 40 | Easy |
| Ghost Master | Mistveil Forest - Kaifeng (requires massive side quest chain to enter the Forest safely) | 50 | Hard |
| Wolf Maiden | Desperation Ridge - Kaifeng | 50 | Easy - Medium |
In terms of the world bosses, any of them we recommend as easy to medium are soloable. The medium one can be quite tough to do though, with their many phase transitions and long health bars. The easier ones tend to be like campaign bosses with not too complicated movesets. They can be soloed with good mechanics for perfect dodges and parries.
The harder one we definitely recommend is that you get a group together, as there’s often some storyline challenges that come with getting into them or some crazy boss mechanics where having a tank or healer in the group will certainly make things simpler.
