Seasonal Edge

The Seasonal Edge is an inner way skill that players can acquire in Where Winds Meet. The inner way passive is a generic legendary quality passive, which any weapon can utilize as part of the build. This is quite handy, since it has a lot of very strong buffs, useful for a variety of affinity, crit, and physical damage buffs, and minimum damage buffs too. All in all there is something useful for everyone there. Here’s a closer look at how to get the Seasonal Edge in Where Winds Meet.

How to Get the Seasonal Edge

Here’s where to find the Seasonal Edge in Where Winds Meet. Image via Gamer Guides / NetEase.

To acquire this, players will need to have unlocked Kaifeng City. You can do this via the Main storyline and reach chapter 2.

When you’re there, you can head to the Fairgrounds area of the city, near the southeast corner of the city. Head there, and check for a building in the top left corner of the area. You should find a trader called Cao Sheng, who sells the ten pages needed for the skillbook. Each page costs 500 Echo Jades, which means you need a total of 5,000 Echo Jade to purchase the skill.

Now, that is a lot of money. So, you’ll need to complete various quests, exploration rewards and other features if you wish to purchase it in full. You’ll need to make a choice between buying these pages, other skill book pages you can buy, and also the cosmetic shops since this can fund your gacha cosmetic pulls too.

How to Use Seasonal Edge

If you are locked in buying Seasonal Edge, note it is very strong skill for builds that take advantage of weapon swapping with the Martial skill down buttons. It’s ideal for different weapon build combos like the Dual Blades and Rope Dart combo, The Strategic Spear and Sword builds, and even the DPS Fan and Umbrella too. The reason why these builds stand out is because they all have support weapons, which offer the player some interesting buttons to toggle and switch to your other weapon. The Rope Dart is there to give the Dual Blades player a flat damage proc bonus when attacking with their fast attack DBs. Meanwhile, you switch from the Strategic Spear to get the bleeds into the main Strategic Sword to then cap and spend the bleed. Meanwhile, the Umbrella has its turret mode, and that can help to launch enemies to get more damage from the launch umbrella turret effects. These are why these stand out the most to use.

Not to mention the Seasonal Edge grants either one of the following:

  • Heart of Four Seasons: Critical Rate +8%
  • Will of Four Seasons: Affinity Rate +4%
  • Wound of Four Seasons: Physical Damage Bonus +8%
  • Sound of Four Seasons: All Attribute Attack Bonuses +8%

The Critical Rate is amazing for both the ranged DPS and the Dual Blades builds. Affinity is fantastic for the Bleeds that apply from both Strategic weapons, especially with the other skills those builds want. The minimal hit and physical damage bonuses are generally good for all of them, and even decent for the Nameless Sword build too if you prefer that build playstyle.

These are fairly high stats too, so they are certainly helpful regardless if you pull them buffs. So, if you have this, it’s generally pretty good, but don’t rely on it to fish for your perfect stat for your build, rather it’s complimentary, but a bit generic if you’re missing other key build skills.

It does get better if you upgrade it though:

Tier Description
1 Duration increased to 12 seconds for the attributes
2 Increases physical Attack based on solo mode level
3 10% chance to gain two random bonuses
4 Cooldown reduced by 5 seconds (triggers every 25 seconds)
5 Physical damage increase
6 15% chance to gain three bonuses and 5% chance for all four buffs

As you can see, the final tier bonus is very strong. You want this because getting all buffs, or at least three is great. Even the two bonuses is very nice too. Imagine getting that much crit and affinity on your attacks fairly often. That’s rather nasty indeed. So, it’s a solid option to upgrade this inner way passive skill after you have already worked on your other key build skills. We strongly recommend saving up for this later into your playthrough on your character, as there’s better core skills to get first, which will need upgrading too. But, by the time you are done with them, you should happily have enough Echo Jade and other upgrade currencies around to start investing in this skill so you can choose to want to grab it.
