Where Winds Meet

How to Get Soaring Spin and Counter PvP Healing Builds

Soaring Spin is one of the strongest spiritual arts players can get in Where Winds Meet, offering players the opportunity to apply a healing reduction on enemies. This is incredibly important, as healing in PvP is a strong feature, with Healers running rampant in solo and group play content (which is why we rank it well in our Weapons Tier List). Not to mention a healing reduction when an enemy needs to run to use their medicine is extremely important for winning clutch fights. Here’s a closer look at how to get the Soaring Spin skill in Where Winds Meet.

How to Get Soaring Spin

Make your way to the bottom left of Kaifeng here and then visit these two places in order and retrieve the items. Image via Gamer Guides / NetEase.

You need to go on a bit of a quest chain to get the Soaring Spin ability. To do so, you need to do the following:

  1. Get the keys from the Martial Temple’s hidden cave near the lake.
  2. Find the secret Edict Room and steal the Soaring Sins kill underneath the nearby South Cliff Fort.
    • (See the image above for roughly where tyou need to go on the map to find these major objectives.)

Go to the Pond Boundary Stone in the very southwest corner of Kaifeng, located between the Pipa Chasm and Martial Temple. From there, go through the pond, and you should find a cave with some guards inside, which takes you through a hidden treasury temple. You will need to loot two Treasury keys located inside the end of the underground treasury room.

When you have the Keys, you need to go to the Dreamfall Cliff area, located to the east of the Martial Temple. You will need to head into the wooden fort and make your way to the far back building in the southwest corner of the fort. You should find a small one story building at the corner, with a secret door at the back of the building you can open against the rear wall. It will take you through a cave system into a secret arsenal room with some guards around the building and cave. It will eventually lead to a puzzle room, with two cannoneer guards inside. You need to deal with the guards before attempting the puzzle. When they are dead, you need to hit the bell and then use Meridian Touch on the door ring piece on the right side. It should unlock it and you will get to the Secret Edict Chamber Boundary Stone for a place to save.

Inside the new Secret Edict room, you will come across a large room, with plenty of statues. To progress, you need to climb the statues, and then slowly work your way up in height before being able to climb on the beams, then up some ladders. There will be a few archers, but you can avoid them by killing them with your own bow, or hiding behind the pillars and moving across the beams safely. You should get to a point where you can climb the extremely large statue at the back of the room and land on top of its head. There should now be a box you can use Celestial Seize on to grab a chest tucked away opposite the statue’s face on a hidden beam.

You should get the Soaring Spin skill from the chest, which should be an amazing opportunity for players to deal with self-healing or healer builds in PvP. Consider pairing this with other skills like the Golden Bell skill for some strong defensiveness, which you can get while grabbing the Five Fold Bleed quest in the Grand Imperial Temple. You can also consider getting the Dragon’s Breath too if you’d like, which is quick and easy from the Fairgrounds area, amongst other Kaifeng related skills you may want for various builds. Don’t forget, these skills are fairly expensive, so you may need to consider upgrading your Vitality to be able to use them.
