The Silver Needle is one of the many Sects in Where Winds Meet, which offer players the opportunity to join a Sect focused on healing and helping others. This is a Sect for players that want to play a more ranged combat playstyle, offering players the chance to get those weapons, and be a co-op ally to many. Here’s everything you need to join and progress in the Silver Needle Sect in Where Winds Meet.
Note that you can only join one Sect at a time. So, make sure that you want to join sect about coop participation, helping players and using the healing career service. It’s also a nice way to get your hands on the Healing and ranged DPS fan weapon too if you want to unlock those weapon, rather than wasting Dragon Keys.
Finding Dr Yuan in Where Winds Meet¶

To join the Silver Needle in Where Winds Meet, you need to complete the Three Questions questline at Sage’s Knoll in Qinghe. You can speak to the apprentice, but you’ll need to seek out Dr Yuan.
Dr Yuan’s location in Where Winds Meet is along the main road near Encircling Lake and Tiger Ridge, towards the southwestern edge of Qinghe. You need to talk to him to start the quest to join the Silver Needles. You will get the follow up for the quest from there, which is fairly straightforward. After it is done, you will be in the Silver Needles.
Progressing the Silver Needles¶

Now, the main focus of the Silver Needles is that it is a Sect dedicated to healing and being useful.
In general, you need to heal people in multiplayer. Take your healing fan and umbrella weapons, and partake in co-op quests where you can. Also, it is generally handy that you help players who post they are looking for a career healer to mend their ailments. Check for Bounties in the game menu to see who needs healing in game and help them that way.
The other added rule of the Silver Blades is to get player commendations. This is often in the form of getting likes from Signposts that you can drop. Go to an open world spot and perform a quest. If there’s an awkward puzzle, a hidden chest nearby, or something useful or funny you can do, then drop a signpost. If other players interact with it, they can leave a like and that helps you towards being a friendly player that the Silver Needle loves.
You should consider joining the Silver Needle if you plan on being a co-op support player, helpful with open world exploration missions or want to further your Healer career options or some of the overworld tasks. You can check your Sect progress via the Sect Status page and find out what specific challenges you need to do. Ranking up will get access to rewards from the Sect, featuring special sect cosmetic outfits to wear, and more items. There’s also a weekly challenge to get a special title for your Sect show you’re the top dog for that week too, which is available to max rank Sect members to partake in.
Lastly, there’s a Silver Needle faction themed questline for players regardless of joining the Sect or not. It takes place at the misty forest on the east side of Kaifeng, which will eventually unlock a world boss. It feels appropriate that Silver Needle players help players through that troublesome questline.
