Volume II - The Abandoned Shrine Walkthrough
Snake Doctor Location & Tips
The Wolf Maiden is one of the world bosses in Where Winds Meet, which is one of the later more soloable world bosses in the game. However, this is one of the harder to reach world bosses, thanks to the game requiring a high level, and to perform an activity to find the Wolf Maiden location in Where Winds Meet.
Where to Find Wolf Maiden Location¶

To find the Wolf Maiden, players need to visit the Desperation Ridge in the Kaifeng region. Players can find this towards the very southeastern tip of the region. When you get there, you should find two NPCs by the bottom of the cliff, relatively close to the Boundary Stone, one is named Yang Dian. Speak to them, and they’ll give you a quest to progress further up the hill, dealing with the overpopulated wolf population. You will need to gradually follow them and work your way up slowly over time to reach the boss.
When you reach the top of the path, you should find a small alcove at the end. Entering this area will trigger the boss to spawn. She will be around level 50, and will have a small amount of health relative to other world bosses. However, she is a relatively strong world boss, with wolves constantly joining the fight, alongside her own moveset. So she can be a tough one if you’re not the greatest with parrying boss moves just yet.
Wolf Maiden Strategy Guide¶
She has a mix of fast attack and slower heavier hitting attacks with her fist weapons, making her a parry fest. Image via Gamer Guides / NetEase.
When you start the boss, she will be up in a tree. During this phase, she will summon wolves to jump down and attack you. These are often parryable, with their eyes glowing red before snapping at you for a parry window.
Continue to parry these wolves, as they don’t pose much threat at that time.
After a few attacks, the boss will jump down. She is relatively low health compared to most world bosses, but she is very strong with her attacks. She has a fast light attack combo, which can be parried often with a left, right, snarl and kick type attack chain. She then slows down the next two hits by performing a slight charge up on them, which can break your parry reactions if you’re not careful. She can also do a powerful red glint attack. If this hits she will do a lot of damage, potentially one hit killing you, if you already lightly injured from the wolves or previous combo hits. Make sure to perfect parry that skill where possible, or perfect dodge if your build scales better with innate passives.
But, that’s the core moveset from here. When she gets down to about a bar of health left, she will pounce again and jump into the trees. From here, she attempts to do more diving pounce attacks. You can perfectly dodge these as she nearly lands on you to then CC her with some of your stagger skills. She will then also try to dive back and spinning upper attack, similar to how the DB moves work, before doing a wind up attack, and then going back to her fast light attack combo.
There’s a pretty good video online from Rexlent soloing the boss on the CN versions with an unreleased weapon in global. But, the general strategy is pretty good so you can study what moves you need to block and perfect parry, and all of that.
