You will come across a number of side quests in Hollow Knight: Silksong, some of which are gotten from various Wishwalls you find. Once you defeat Widow, return to the first section where you entered Bellhart to see its residents are now out and about. The Wishwall here will have some new quests for you, one of which is Crawbug Clearing. After logging it, double back to the Halfway Home in Greymoor and speak to the proprietor to get the quest updated. You’ll basically need to defeat Craw enemies in the area to get some Ragpelts from them. Read on to find out the best way to get the Ragpelts.
You can get this Wish from the Wishwall in Bellhart, after freeing it.
Ragpelts and Crawbug Locations¶
There are three types of enemies that will drop Ragpelts for this quest, which are the Craw, Tallcraw, and the Squatcraw. The regular Craw, which are the smaller, flying ones, will always drop one Ragpelt upon defeating them. Both the Tallcraw and Squatcraw will always drop four Ragpelts when you kill them. You might think it’s better to go after the bigger targets, since you get more per kill. That’s a good idea, especially if you can easily handle them, but the Squatcraw is quite annoying to battle, since it takes off into the air often enough to be a right nuisance.
The Tallcraw is easier to defeat of the two bigger ones, but it still takes quite a number of hits to down them. While the normal Craw are still annoying, they are the easiest to defeat and generally shouldn’t hit you at all. The best spot for this quest is to the right of where you first entered Greymoor, from Far Fields. Head to the right, past where Shakra was located (use the Bench above her former location, if you have it unlocked), and you should arrive at Craw Lake.
Now, there is a normal Craw right at the entrance here, so quickly defeat it and then exit-re-enter to respawn the creature. If you want to go after the others, then you need to do first enter the building in Craw Lake. Go up the right side and you’ll eventually reach an arena with some enemies. Defeat them all to gain access to a lever that makes balloons appear outside of the building, allowing you to reach the higher areas of Craw Lake. This is where you’ll find more Craws, including the Tallcraws and Squatcraws. However you do it, kill enough Craw enemies to get 25 Ragpelts, then return to the Halfway Home.
Rewards¶
Once you have the 25 Ragpelts from the Craw enemies, you can return to the proprietor in the Halfway Home to hand them in. As thanks for completing this quest, you will receive a Crafting Kit, an item that increases the damage your Tools do in the game. Additionally, the innkeeper constructs a scarecraw on top of the building, which will keep all of the Crawbugs out of this particular screen.
