What do Crafting Kits do?¶
The first question you’ll have on your mind when you first come across a Crafting Kit at a vendor is just what does it do. After all, the description at the shop states “Crafting by claw alone produces inferior results. With this kit you can craft finer, sharper, and deadlier tools… if that is your wish.” Not exactly clear, right?
Well, once you have it, you’ll learn that the Crafting Kit will increase the damage of all your Tools, very handy! What’s more, there are four tiers of this passive, meaning there will be another three Crafting Kits for you to track down. With how handy Tools are in Silksong, this should always be on your shopping list whenever you come across it.
Crafting Kit Locations¶
As mentioned above, there are a total of four Crafting Kits you’ll need to find if you wish to maximize the damage of Hornet’s Tools. Below, you’ll find where to find each of them.
Crafting Kit Location 1¶
The first Crafting Kit you’re likely to find is the one in the Deep Docks, located east of The Marrow. Once you reach this area, instead of going east to the Lace boss fight, go down instead and then head right when you can, where you’ll have to battle a group of enemies before you can exit the room. From here, go right and up, then you’ll find a lever to your left which opens up a Bench, but more importantly, a new vendor if you go to the right.
This is the Forge Daughter, and you’ll find that you can use Rosaries and Craftmetal to make some new Tools, namely the Sting Shard and Magma Bell. If you’re low on Rosaries, however, look to purchase the first Crafting Kit there instead for 180 Rosaries, this is much more beneficial.
Crafting Kit Location 2¶
The next Crafting Kit comes as a reward from completing a Wish, more specifically, the Crawbug Clearing Wish, which you can obtain from the Bellhart Wishwall once you’ve cleansed the settlement.
Once accepted, make your way to the Halfway Home in Greymoor and speak to the proprietor and he’ll ask you to fetch 25 Ragpelts from Craw enemies (the flying birds in this area). Once you have them all, return to him and you’ll get a shiny new Crafting Kit for your troubles.
Crafting Kit Location 3¶
Once you reach Act 2, you’ll eventually get your hands on the Clawline in the Underworks. As you make your way back out of the area, you’ll return to where the Bench was. There is a ring here you can use to reach the area to your upper right. Inside will be a vendor that sells this for 450 Rosaries.
There you have it; you now know what Crafting Kits are, and where you can start finding them to really increase the damage Hornet can deal with her Tools.
