As you progress through WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, you’ll run into a large group of characters who all have quests that span the majority of the game. You’ll first encounter Yu Xia at the very beginning of your adventure, at Reverent Temple, just before you leave. Keep reading to learn where you can find her each time and how to complete her quest.

First Meeting - Reverent Temple¶

After waking up in the cave at the start of your adventure, head into the temple and, after speaking with Xuanyangzi, head to the bottom floor, where you’ll meet both Yu Xia and her imposing guard, Qianhu, for the first time. While Qianhu won’t say anything to you, Yu Xia will give you some advice and point you in the way of Shu Sanctum.

Second Meeting - Reverent Temple¶

Once you reach Shu Sanctum, head to the top floor and before you go through to the fight the boss, you’ll find the Bloodstained Letter. With this in hand, return to Reverent Temple to find her outside, give her the letter and she’ll hand over the Luduan Pendant in return. She’ll also warn you to stay away from the Tang Emperor’s Palace as it’s dangerous.

Third Meeting - Reverent Temple¶

You’ll be able to meet with Yu Xia again once you defeat the final boss of Chapter 1 at the Tang Emperor’s Palace, she’ll be praying on the bottom floor of the Temple. She’ll mention a Zhang Xianzhong and if you’d mind doing some digger for her on your travels.

Fourth Meeting - Reverent Temple¶

Return to Reverent Temple after the events of Chapter 2 (in the Shaft) and you’ll find Yu Xia and Qianhu in their usual place at the bottom of Reverent Temple. She’ll thank you for dealing with the situation with Hong and hand over two Soulgrass and mentions the rebels have taken Zhenwu Temple.

Final Meeting - Reverent Temple¶

Your final meeting with Yu Xia happens in Chapter 4, once you’ve made your way back to Reverent Temple. She’ll mention about your deeds at both Cloudspire and Mt. Zhenwu, and then you’ll have an important choice to make, which impacts the end of her questline.

Yu Xia Choice - Imperial Guard Token, Lovely Brocade Bag, or Refuse the Invitation¶

After her speech, she will ask if you will take up your mantle, and you’ll have a choice of two items you can give her, along with refusing the invitation altogether.

Imperial Guard Token¶

The first of those items is the Imperial Guard Token, which you’ll find at Bai Mansion, reached by taking the boat at Overlook Ferry in Mt. Zhenwu. As you reach the end of that area, you’ll find a note on the wall to your left, examine it to get the token. Hand this over to Yu Xia and she will be proud of the decision you’ve made, giving you a Radiant Feather as thanks.

Lovely Brocade Bag¶

The second item you can give her is the Lovely Brocade Bag, but this one takes a bit more effort. During Chapter 4, you’ll be able to make your way back to the Tang Emperor’s Palace and eventually reach an area known as Palace Pass. As you work your way to the bottom of this area, it will culminate in a challenging boss encounter, win and you’ll get the Lovely Brocade Bag.

Take this back to Yu Xia and you can offer it to her, she’ll be distraught and have nothing left to say.

So, with those choices in mind, your best cause of action is to show the Imperial Guard Token to Yu Xia, this will result in you getting a Radiant Feather for your troubles and feels like the natural conclusion to her quest.
