There are four endings in WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, each giving an achievement/trophy. However, to get these endings, you’ll need to complete specific NPC quests and hand over different Key Items to different NPCs depending on what ending you’re going for. Read below to find out how to obtain each ending and what steps you need to take to get them.

Ending 1 - Successor of the Bo (Early Ending)¶
This ending is related to the Red-Clad Lady NPC that you’ll see throughout your journey. With that said, follow the steps below, exactly as they’re written, to not mess up the ending.
Step 1 - Buddha Cliffs/Doomwillow Beach¶
Speak to the Red-Clad Lady at the bottom of 
Buddha Cliffs in Worship’s Rise. You should see her by the riverbank at the start of the game before you go up the cliffs.
If you leave 
Reverent Temple via the door to the right of the courtyard, you’ll eventually end up at the bottom of Buddha Cliffs. Make sure you exhaust all her dialogue.
You’ll find the Red-Clad Lady sitting on a rock at the bottom of Buddha Cliffs.
This is next to the waterfall, where you’ll see the first gold chest.
If you missed her here, you can still speak to her at the top of 
Doomwillow Beach to fulfill the first part. She will be where you kick down the bridge to the burning pyre.
Even if you speak to her at Buddha Cliffs, make sure you speak to her here and exhaust her dialogue too. She will give you the Benediction, 
Sheng - Backstab Rejuvenation, after speaking to her, and you can pick up the 
Divine Might spell on the floor next to her.
At the top of Doomwillow Beach, you’ll find a bridge you can knock down.
On the other side, you’ll find the Red-Clad Lady.
Step 2 - Avian Dwelling¶
At the entrance to the Avian Forest, you can either go left and down the ladder to the 
Avian Marsh Shrine, or you can go forward/right to the 
Avian Dwelling Shrine. Make your way to the latter shrine, and you’ll find the Red-Clad Lady next to it.
Speak to her and exhaust her dialogue until you get a choice. Make sure you select the “Agree with…” choice to stay on the ending path. You will get the useful 
Divine Blessing spell if you choose the right option.
You’ll find the Red-Clad Lady next to the Avian Dwelling shrine.
Make sure you select “I Agree” when given the choice to progress the ending path.
Step 3 - Annalum (Chapter 4)¶
For this step, you’ll need to speak to the Storyteller, who can be found under the pavilion in the center of 
Annalum. Exhaust his dialogue, and he’ll ask you for a favor. This will give you an important choice to make: accept or refuse.
To stay on the ending path, you must refuse the first choice, and refuse a second time when he asks you again. If you accept, he’ll give you the 
Polygonal Container spell, but you won’t be able to get the ending.
Step 4 - Underground Palace¶
The last step of this ending is to defeat the boss in the Underground Palace. This involves going past 
Shu Sanctum, taking the right path down to reach the Tang Emperor’s Palace, progressing down 
Palace Pass, where you’ll fight a difficult boss, and then going through the Underground Palace to find the main boss for this ending. Defeating the boss will give you the ending.
When you reach the end of the Underground Palace, your boss will await you.
After defeating the boss, you’ll immediately get the ending.
Ending 2 - Dream’s Sweet Deceit (True Ending)¶
This and Ending 4 have very similar steps, with you doing a few things differently to get the endings.
Step 1 - Fang Yao, He Youzai, and the White-Robed Elder¶
The first step is to make sure you complete all quest steps for Fang Yao, He Youzai, and the White-Robed Elder. Check out our Fang Yao Guide, He Youzai Guide and White-Robed Elder Guide for full walkthroughs on how to do this. This allows Fang Yao, and He Youzai to be present in Chapter 4, and also unlocks a boss fight with the White-Robed Elder a bit later.
Follow our NPC guides to make sure you’re up-to-date with Fang Yao, He Youzai, and the White-Robed Elder.
Step 2 - Reverent Temple (Chapter 4)¶
From Annalum, follow the path through Shu Sanctum to reach the Reverent Temple. Behind the shrine, you’ll find Fang Yao, under the pavilion. Speak to her and exhaust her dialogue to receive the Key Items: 
Ring of Samsara - Cause, and Research Scraps 3.
Step 3 - Reverent Temple (Chapter 4)¶
Still in Reverent Temple, speak to He Youzai at the top of the temple, and tell him “Not Really” when he mentions the symbol. Continue talking to him and hand over the Research Scraps 3 to him after he’s finished. This will give you the Key Item: 
Ring of Samsara - Effect.
Step 4 - Burning Cavern¶
From the top of Reverent Temple, exit and go right toward the area where you started the game. Here, you’ll find a shrine outside the cave, and next to it, Xuanyangzi. Speak to him, and when he asks you for the Jade Feather Chisel, REFUSE by selecting “Remain Silent”. Continue through the Burning Cave, defeat the boss at the end, and you’ll enter the final Chapter.

Step 5 - Tomb¶
Once you’re in the final Chapter, go to the shrine and teleport to the Avian Dwelling shrine. From the Avian Dwelling Shrine, go over the first tree you kicked down and go forward (instead of right), and you’ll find a path that leads to the 
Tomb area, where you’ll have a boss fight. Defeat the boss to receive the Chisel.
Make your way to the Tomb area from the Avian Dwelling shrine.
When you enter the area, you’ll be in a boss fight. Defeat the boss for the Chisel.
Step 6 - Bo Capital: Depths of the Capital¶
Progress through the Chapter until you reach the 
Depths of the Capital shrine. Next to it is a Mystery Gate, where you need to answer a riddle. Select “The Wheel Turns Anew” to be teleported to the 
Shrine Dwelling. Defeat the boss there and interact with the Altar and combine the Ring of Samsara - Cause with the Ring of Samsara - Effect to create the 
Ring of Samsara - Rebirth.
Step 7 - Bo Capital: Gate of Truth¶
The last step requires you to reach the end of the game. For this step, you’ll need to defeat the final boss, and after its defeat, interact with the 
Gate of Truth and select “Enter the Realm of Dreams”. This will give you the Dream’s Sweet Deceit ending.

Ending 3 - Jarful of Medicine (Bad Ending)¶
This ending has the least number of steps to work through. The only steps that matter here start in Chapter 4.
Step 1 - Reverent Temple (Chapter 4)¶
Play through the game normally, but when you reach the Reverent Temple in Chapter 4, make sure you DO NOT give He Youzai the Research Scraps 3.
Do not hand over the Research Scraps 3 to He Youzai.
Step 2 - Burning Cavern¶
Exit the Reverent Temple via the top exit, turn right, and you’ll find the 
Burning Cavern shrine. Speak to Xuanyangzi, who’ll be next to it, and GIVE HIM the Chisel.
You can find Xuanyangzi near the Burning Cavern shrine near Reverent Temple.
Hand over the Jade Feather Chisel when he mentions it.
Step 3 - Gate of Truth¶
Defeat the final boss of the game, and then interact with the Gate afterward and select “Enter the Stream of Samsara”. This will give you the Jarful of Medicine ending.

Ending 4 - Bound by Fate’s Threads (Good Ending)¶
The final Ending in the game is Bound by Fate’s Threads. The steps here are similar to Ending 2, but not the exact same. These differences will lead to this ending instead.
Step 1 - Fang Yao, He Youzai and the White-Robed Elder¶
The first step is to make sure you complete all quest steps for Fang Yao, He Youzai, and the White-Robed Elder. This allows Fang Yao, and He Youzai to be present in Chapter 4, and also unlocks a boss fight with the White-Robed Elder a bit later.

Unlike Ending 2, you do not want to go to the Tomb area and fight the boss there.
Step 6 - Bo Capital: Depths of the Capital¶
If you do fight the boss in the Tomb area, DON’T combine the Ring of Samsara’s in the Shrine Dwelling.
Step 7 - Bo Capital: Gate of Truth¶
The last step requires you to reach the end of the game. For this step, you’ll need to defeat the final boss, and after its defeat, interact with the Gate of Truth, and select “Enter the Realm of Truth”. This will give you the Bound by Fate’s Threads ending.
That’s it for the endings in WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers. In general, giving and not giving Xuanyangzi will affect your ending, as will combining the Ring of Samsara’s or not. As mentioned in the quest steps above, the NPCs, Red-Clad Lady, Fang Yao, He Youzai, Xuanyangzi, and the White-Robed Elder play huge parts in the ending outcome.

Thank you so much for your guides, I couldn't find any information anywhere, but thanks to your page, I now have a little more clarity on how to complete the NPC quests. But I have a huge question. Apparently, from what I've read, it's very important to go to the areas in the correct order, as some NPC quests can be broken if we go before or after. I accidentally activated the refugee camp, which I understand is part of Chapter 3. When I realized this, some NPCs had moved to this area, and basically Chapter 2 hadn't even started yet. I guess that corrupted a lot of NPC quests. Is it best to ignore the ladder to go down as soon as I reach Chapter 2?
Because Fang Yao basically didn't appear in the game.
I repeat, thank you so much. Although I speak Spanish, I can more or less understand everything with the translator.
I'm currently in NG+. What I was telling you about was the mistake I made in the first playthrough. However, thanks to the guide, I'm pretty clear on how to do things correctly with NPCs. I've been searching forums and nothing. Fortunately, I found this guide, and I'm truly grateful for it.
But now something strange happened to me in NG+.
When I arrived at the Shu Temple, where the second boss of the main game is, the one who gives us the key to open the underground path.
Well, in that area, the old man should normally appear. Later, he's a boss who uses the Spear. But I couldn't find him anywhere, and I tried to slow things down so as not to ruin the NPC quests, but he simply wasn't there. On his second appearance, where everything is in ashes, he didn't appear either. I guess I missed his quest, although I don't know why. Maybe because I got the normal ending and did it in NG+. I honestly don't understand.
Now I'm going to get the ending of the Girl in Red. I actually found out it exists thanks to the guide.

Thanks for the kind words, SPigmeo. Unfortunately, you made the same mistake that I did by going to the Refugee Camp early. Ignore the ladder until later and complete Chapter 2 first.
I know that some people messed up Fang Yao's quest by going to Chapter 3 early, but you may still be okay. I did the same as you and I managed to complete her quest still.
As long as you speak to her in Cloudspire City and do the favor she asks for there, you may be okay still.
