In WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, there is an abundance of NPCs, all who have a quest, that spans the majority of the game. The Red-Clad Lady is as ominous as her name suggests, and you’ll frequently bump into throughout your travels, often having a choice to make. Read on to find out what the choices effect, and how you can successfully complete her quest.

First Meeting - At the Bottom of Buddha Cliffs Shrine¶

You first meeting with the Red-Clad Lady is near the beginning after you leave Reverant Temple. Although she’s at the bottom of the Budhha Cliffs, you won’t be able to use that shrine yet as it’s on top of the cliffs. So, from the Reverant Temple Shrine, exit the courtyard via the door on the right, and follow the path past He Youzai. The Red-Clad Lady will be on your left if you stay on the path. Speak to her and exhaust her dialogue to acquire a Full-Grown Red Mercury. Upon resting at a shrine, she’ll move on to the next location.

Second Meeting - Burning Pyre at Doomwillow Beach¶

You won’t see the Red-Clad Lady for a while until you reach Doomwillow Beach. If you progress through the area normally, you’ll pass the pyre where she’s standing after kicking down a tree at the top of the mountainous area of the beach. From the Doomwillow Beach Shrine (make sure it doesn’t eat you!) follow the path opposite to the end and go right. Continue along the path until you reach the red water with corruption and take the left path.

Go up the slope with the fire to your right, make your way past the enemies, and climb the ladder up at the top, to your right. Defeat the nearby enemies and knock down the bridge opposite the ladder. On the other side, you’ll find the Red-Clad Lady to your left, in front of the burning pyre. Speak to her and exhaust her dialogue to receive the Sheng - Backstab Rejuvenation Benediction. Make sure you pick up the Divine Might spell next to her before you leave. Resting at the shrine will send her to her next location.

Third Meeting - Avian Dwelling at Mt Zhu¶

You won’t see the Red-Clad Lady again until you reach Chapter 3, and have access to the Refugee Camp. At the bottom of the camp, accessed by taking the ladder down on the opposite side of the camp. This will take you to a forest area, filled with dangerous enemies, and winding paths. When you enter the forest for the first time, you’ll eventually be able to go left or right.

Left takes you down a ladder to the Avian Marsh Shrine, while going forward/right will eventually take you to the Avian Dwelling Shrine. It’s at this shrine where you’ll find her, and she’ll give you an important question to answer: She’ll ask if it’s okay or not to kill the worthless for the greater good. Agreeing with her question will give you the useful Divine Blessing magic, telling her that it’s not okay will make her a bit upset.

Fourth Meeting - Tang Palace (Chapter 4 after the events at the end of Chapter 3)¶

You’ll need to progress to Chapter 4 by talking to storyteller in Bamboo path. Events will happen and you’ll be in ruined state of Worship’s Rise. You’ll need to go to Tang Palace by running past Shu Sanctum, and taking the first right you see, which will take you to Tang Palace. In the palace, either fight or run past the two guys duking it out and go into the water, where you’ll see a giant enemy by the so-called relic. The Red-Clad Lady will call out to you and throw magic at you as you fight the giant enemy. When the enemy dies, go up the path behind the relic and she’ll disappear.

Fifth Meeting - Palace Pass¶

Not really a meeting per se, but she does appear here. Go through the Palace as normal, and as you make your way down Palace Pass, she’ll throw magic at you while you go down, just to make your life a misery.

Final Meeting - Underground Palace¶

After defeating the boss in the Palace Pass area, use the Mystery Gate to find the Underground Palace. Near the beginning of the area is a ladder that takes you to the bottom. Take this, and eventually you’ll end up with a boss fight, who’ll be the Red-Clad Lady. Defeating her will give you the ending.
