Like most Soulslikes, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers features a many colorful characters you’ll encounter throughout your journey, and most of these will have a questline related to them. You’ll first encounter Huang Jian’e at 
Shu Sanctum at Worship’s Rise and you’ll follow her journey across three of the game’s chapters. Keep reading to learn where you can find her each time and how to complete her quest.
Huang Jian’e can be found in the Shu Sanctum in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

First Meeting - Shu Sanctum¶
The first task Wuchang will have after leaving the comforts of 
Reverent Temple at the start of the game is to locate Shu Sanctum, which acts as a hub for a lot of the characters in Worship’s Rise. You’ll first make your way through 
Lightzen Temple and then eventually, once you meet Nian Suichang and head up the stairs, take a right to eventually end up at Shu Sanctum.
Here, you’ll find a distressed Huang Jian’e in the center who will hand over the 
Zhenwu Hairpin and mention a particular Lu Hongliu and a 
Trinity Bell, this is your next objective to progress her quest.
You’ll get the Zhenwu Hairpin on your first meeting with Huang Jian’e.
Second Meeting - Shu Sanctum¶
You’ll now need to head to the optional part of Worship’s Rise to reach Lu Hongliu, an optional boss. Take the other exit out of Shu Sanctum and use the invisible bridge to begin working your way through Worship’s Rise, at the top, you’ll see some stairs leading to a courtyard. Ignore this for now and first head around to the top of Shu Sanctum, where you can kick a tree down for a shortcut.
Lu Hongliu herself is a tricky encounter this early in the adventure, if you’ve been making use of our Magic One-Handed Sword Build, you can make use of 
Infernal Flames that will deal heavy damage to her. Once you finally defeat her, you’ll obtain the Trinity Bell, among other goodies, which Huang Jian’e mentioned.
Return to Shu Sanctum, hand it over, and you’ll get a 
Recovery Pill as thanks for quelling her madness. She leaves you with the message that she’ll make her way to Cloudspire next.
Third Meeting - Snowy Passage¶
True to her word, Huang Jian’e will make her way to Cloudspire, the location of Chapter 2. Progress through 
Hillswatch and you’ll eventually find yourself at the 
Snowy Passage Shrine, where just in front of you is a door that will take you into 
Cloudspire Outskirts.
From this entrance, head forward and up some stairs and then hang a left as soon as you can, you’ll find a house where Huang Jian’e has been hiding out the carnage in Cloudspire Outskits. She’ll ask if you can help her, giving you a chance to agree or disagree, do so and she’ll hand over the 
Zhenwu Tome and a Recovery Pill.
Enter Cloudspire Outskirts via the Snowy Passage Shrine and then go left when you can.
You’ll find Huang Jian’e again, who will hand over the Zhenwu Tome.
Fourth Meeting - Snowy Passage¶
The man you’re looking for is Li Wansan, who isn’t too far from your current position. You will, however, have to either defeat Ai Nengqi in the 
Rebel Camp or light the three beacons in Cloudspire Outskirts to drop the drawbridge leading to 
Cloudspire City. Once you cross the bridge, however, you’ll need to defeat 
Ming General - Liu Cheng’en, a challenging boss that favors those who use a Parry or Clash build.
Once defeated, you’ll find yourself in 
Snowpeak Pass, where the goal is to make your way to the top of the building on your right that leads to the main stairs of Cloudspire City. After meeting He Youzai again (you can’t miss him), turn right outside of the room he’s in and you’ll find Li Wansan. Hand over the Zhenwe Tome and you’ll get the 
Red Mercury Crystal.
Return to Hang Jian’e at the same place in Snowy Passage and hand this over to her, she’ll thank you with a 
Brilliant Red Feather and a 
Fixed Origin Pill, and then say she’s heading back to Zhenwe Temple.
Fifth Meeting - Mt Zhenwu Antechamber¶
Your next meeting with Huang Jian’e will have to wait until you reach Mt. Zhenwu, the location of Chapter 3 of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers. The critical path of this Chapter takes you through Zhenwu Temple, and eventually you’ll reach a rather large temple full of switches and nasty traps.
The first time you enter this temple, you’ll find a some thin stairs leading down, as you go down them, you’ll run into Huang Jian’e once again, sitting within her casting of 
Divine Blessing. Speak with her and she’ll fill you in on the situation before handing over a Fixed Origin Pill.
Once you reach the temple with bridges that you lower, you’ll find some stairs leading down to Huang Jian’e.

Final Meeting - Altar Gate¶
As you reach the end of the temple area, you’ll reach the 
Altar Gate shrine, just beyond here is the final boss of Chapter 3, the 
Fierce Tiger. Once you enter this battle, you can use the 
Bone Whistle to summon Huang Jian’e to aid you (if you have Nian Suichang’s quest active, he too will join you for the battle).
Once the battle is over, use the Shrine to refresh the area and then you’ll find Huang Jian’e near the path leading out of this area, drawing her final breaths. Speak to her, then refresh the Shrine one final time to find the Zhenwu Armor Set along with a 
Half Vitalitus Pill, concluding her quest.
There you have it; you now know how to find and complete Huang Jian’e’s quest in WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, a questline that will span the first three Chapters of the adventure.
