The Garbage Can in Grounded 2 is one of the main landmarks players will need to reach to progress the main story. At the top is an O.R.C Transmitter that players need to reach to progress the main story quest. However, the garbage can is filled with perils, from toxic smelly conditions to enemies crawling around. Here’s everything you need to know to get to the Garbage Can in Grounded 2 and the rewards you can get.

How to get on top of the Garbage Can¶

Now, to traverse the Garbage Can, you need to do the following:

1. Approach the Garbage Can from the hill to the west.
2. There’s a twig going from the hill to the elevated rim of the Garbage Can. Cross it.
3. When you’re at the rim, turn left and jump across the various items stuck to the sides of the bin.
4. You should reach a point where there’s twigs to cross to the level above. Jump across them.
5. When at the top of the Garbage Can rim, continue to travel left. You should eventually come across a plastic cutlery piece that brings you to the top.

When at the top of the Garbage Can, you can find the Transmitter to the southwest corner of the top of the bin. Simply interact with and progress the rest of the quest.

Before you go anywhere, there’s a lot of items you can get from around the Garbage Can.

• You can find a few Spicy Shards by using your tier 2 OmniHammer on the Hot Chacas.
• A single Mint Shard hotspot inside the bin.
• Sour Clumps, ready for when the game gets Tier 3 Omni tools in future EA updates.
• There’s also Gum at the top of the bin, alongside the base of the Can too. You can use these to make better base solutions for the Smoothie maker.
• If you go inside the top of the bin, go to the south side of the inner section. There’s a Golden Milk Molar wedge underneath a map that’s very easy to miss.
• Speaking of Milk Molars, there’s one inside a paper cup on the ground level to the north of the bin.
• If you have the Tier 2 OmniAxe, then there’s a lot of apples to chop at. You’ll largely get Rotten Food for breaking it down, but you can occasionally get Fresh Apple Bits, Apple Bits, and even Cookie bits. The Apple Bits are used for cooking recipes, which you can get from the Ice Cream Cart disk. The Rotten Food is a great fertilizer for players building farming plots of land to then grow other pieces of food or other vegetation for construction.
• There’s plenty of Raw Science tucked away on objects and obstacles in and around the Garbage Can. Feel free to grab them and explore a little bit. Be mindful of the angry cockroaches towards the ground level though, which may cause you a few issues exploring at the base of the Can.
