Silk Rope is one of the more in demand materials in the Tier 2 of Grounded 2. The recipes are needed for things like new
Bows, armor sets and even consumables. No matter what, you probably need the Silk Ropes are some point to craft those items. This guide will teach you how to get Silk Ropes in Grounded 2, and what you need to do.
How to Craft Silk Rope¶

To craft Silk Rope in Grounded 2, you need a
Spinning Wheel. You can craft a Spinning Wheel, If you don’t have access to this, then you need to place
Web Fiber in the Research Analyzer. This unlocks the Spinning Wheel for you.
From there, you now need to craft the Spinning Wheel. This requires:
- 2x
Acorn Tops - 4x
Clay - 4x
Red Ant Parts - 3x
Sap - 4x
Crude Rope
When you have this item, craft it. You should be able to find the Silk Rope recipe from the list. You will need:
- 1x Web Fiber for each Silk Rope.
Furthermore, it takes around 2 minutes real-time to make one Silk Rope based on timings we have calculated. So, it can take a while to get what you need. It’s for sure worth making a second one and spamming these Silk Ropes in build queue while you do other thing. That way you can stockpile your resources ready for your armor or weapon set you want to make.
What to use Silk Ropes on?¶

Silk Rope is used a lot in Tier 2 and some Tier 3 crafting recipes. They are specifically useful for Dash Strike Rogue Builds, and even archer builds too. You also need them for the bee armor sets, especially for cold resistance when you want to travel to the Ice Cream Cart region. Here are some examples of items it contributes to:
As you can see, some sets require a lot of Silk Rope. Its why we recommend two Spinning Wheels on the go so you can make 10 at a time. That way you cover the grounds of the 7 for armor sets, and 3 for weapons. Or arrow stockpiles you want to make, etc.
