Mint Shards in Grounded 2 are an important item for players looking to make mage related items. You can also use them to create a base for players looking to create a good place to store their eggs they nab from around the world. If so, here’s a look at where to find Mint Shards in Grounded 2.
Mint Shard Locations¶

From there, you now need to find 
Fresh Mint dotted around the world. They are dotted sporadically around the map for the most part.
Take the Snackbar region for example:
- There are four fresh mints on the wooden platform next to the Snackbar proper. One is outside, and another three are inside the mint package.
- Another towards the southwest under the Snackbar.
- There’s also one in the main anthill too you go to for the Hatchery quest.
In Picnic, you can find the Fresh Mints around the Picnic table. There’s:
- Two in the
Briefcase on the Picnic Table - Another one by the Chacas box next to the Brief case
- Another in the Fridge Cooler atop the Picnic table.
The other place to easily get them from is in the Ice Cream Cart region. Where the Ice Cream Cart has tipped over, you can find them around here:
- 2 by the Southwestern side of the Ice Cream spillage
- 1 by the Northeast side of the Ice Cream Cart Spillage
- Others are doted around the various tunnels inside the tipped over Ice Cream Cart
- Another 2 by the tree to the north of the Ice Cream Cart.
This should be more than enough Fresh Mints for your base building and mage build needs.

As it stands, you mainly use Mint Shards for the following items:

The Mint Arrow is handy for building Chilled on an enemy, especially if it’s one of the weaknesses for Archer players. Mage players can also use these staves to do serious damage to enemies weak to Fresh too. You also get some good mage synergy for the Butterfly armor sets for its armor set bonus. The 
Butterfly Set increases your Fresh damage while 
Parrier Barrier is active. If you want this staff, you’ll likely need to farm some Butterflies to make a very strong Fresh Mage build.
Then you have the Egg storage. The Egg Storage is a decent building for Co-op saves. Grabbing one of these gives players a good option to easily incubate and store multiple eggs at once. That way, you can do a big egg run in coop and store the eggs safely without the risk of them eggspiring :).
