How to Get and Use Silk Rope
Milkweed Tufts are one of the few items players will need to acquire as they progress through the Grounded 2. Players will need them to craft several items such as building items, and armor sets. If you want to build bases, then you will also need the
Milkweed Chunks too. So, No matter what you want to farm, here is where to find Milkweed Chunks and Tufts in Grounded 2 and use those items.
Milkweed Tuft Locations¶

For the most part, players can find Milkweed Tufts around the border of Picnic and Snackbar.
- Look for the really large dried out weeds, and the giant seeds that are either on the floor around them, or the seeds along the stem.
- When you find a seed, you will need to attack it, then use a Tier 2
Omni-Axe to break the seed down. - When one of the seeds break, it will release Milkweed Chunks and Milkweed Tufts.
What to use Milkweed on?¶
Here are the recipes we are aware of that require the Milkweed Tufts:
Fuzzy Parka - Requires 3x Milkweed Tufts and other materials like Silk Ropes
Stuffed Caterpillar - Requires 3x Milkweed Tufts
Landing Pad - Requires 6x Milkweed Tufts
Stuffed Blue Butterfly - Requires 4x Milkweed Tufts- Thatch Buildings - Thatch roofing and other base items require Milkweed Chunks
For the most part, you want the Milkweeds Tufts for the Fuzzy sets, which also require you to farm bees. The set is required for dealing with the cold status effect, especially in the Ice Cream Cart region of the map. Not having the right gear will cause the status effect to kill. It is very similar to the Sandbox area of Grounded 1. Without the gear, you won’t really be able to progress that region properly.
The other stuff is the Landing Pad and
Blue Butterfly decoration you can have around your base. The Landing pads are fairly nice as they can mitigate fall damage. Handy if you’re making really vertical bases and want to jump down as a quick way out. Otherwise, you’re largely farming them for
Fuzzy Set. That about covers all you need to know about Milkweed Tufts and Chunks in Grounded 2.
