Weed Stems in Grounded 2 are useful for building various base building schematics. You’ll find they are used a lot with the hatchery buildings, alongside any cookery schematics and more. Early on, it’s easy to need a lot, but not really understand where to get them from. So, we are here to help you find Weed Stems in Grounded 2.
Weed Stem Locations¶

Weed Stems are located around the world fairly easily, especially in the early game. However, they blend in a lot with the tall grass stalks. In general, you can find quite a few of the Weed Stems around the Hunter’s Cabin area when you leave the tutorial identifiable by the 
Dandelion names.
- They are typically to the left on the hill as you leave that Hunter’s room.
- To the right of the door as you leave near the can and small body of water
These should be enough to get you through the early game needs.
If you need more, or change base location, then, to easily spot Weed Stems, look for Dandelions. Dandelions are identified by the following characteristics
- Slightly lighter green stem
- Dandelion flower at the top, with the top stalk bending over slightly.
Chopping these down gives you Weed Stems, similarly to how 
Grass gives you 
Grass Planks. You can now carry them to your Weed Stem containers at your base, or place them in blueprint schematics that need the item.
What to use Weed Stems on?¶

As mentioned, Weed Stems are used on variety of building pieces and purposes:
- You will need to carry one to a Research Analyzer and unlock some schematics with it.
- 9x Weed Stems in the
Cookery - 2x Weed Stem sin the
Sap Collector - 6x Weed Stems in the Hatchery
- 6x Weed Stems in the
Ant Nest - 1x in the
Grass Door and Frame - 1-2x in the base Scaffolding pieces, depending on which one you place.
These are some of the examples of early game construction pieces you will get for quests. And upgrading your base with better recipes and features. As you can see you need a lot. Good luck with finding them and improving your base’s capabilities.
