Grounded 2 is back with the mutations that will affect player’s playstyles. For a lot of the mutations, especially the ones that affect your weapon and gear, you will need lots of skills with your favorite weapons to grind through the hundreds of kills you need. So, to make it easier, here are the best places to farm kills for mutations in Grounded 2.

Best mutation kill locations¶

The best farming locations we can think of are as follows

• Picnic Table – underneath the cloth
• Pine hill and Picnic tree branches on the left
• The tree at the Entrance region

The picnic table is the best location for farming simple kill mutations in Grounded 2. Climb to the top of the picnic table, and when you’re at the top, go underneath the table cloth. Here you’ll find an Orb Weaver to fight. Once it’s dead, check around the back levels of the table cloth area. There’s a lot of eggs to smash. Smashing an egg typically spawns around two spiderlings. Given there’s around 20 eggs in the area, that’s around 40 kills. 40 kills is enough to get you the whole first tier of any weapon you want to farm with. See an image above for reference.

In addition, the Picnic table also has made it easy to kill O.R.C Weevils, which is another bonus. There’s also a few worker ants and larvae around, especially near the tunnel areas that lead to the Toxic Anthill. So there’s a few more kills you can farm.

The other areas we recommend are around the large wooden roots and branches on the ground. Travel west around Snackbar, Picnic and Pine Hill, and you should find these large log areas. These areas typically have more spiderling eggs to kill, which spawns more eggs. Furthermore, the routes near where tend to have a few mite spawns too, which is some nice and easy kills, as they always come in clumps of 3-4. The same goes for the tree near the entrance which is better suited for lower levels.

The other suggestion is to keep your eye open for Weevils, Aphids and Lawn Mites. These are very easy to kill, and are very useful for opportunistically getting more kills for your mutation kill challenges.

Hopefully these locations make it super easy to farm the mutations you’re after. With these suggestions, you’ll be ale to to farm spiderling super easy and get really far into your mutations.
