How to Get the Ice Sickle
Stealth Archer Build
The Rogue playstyle is a very strong playstyle, offering players the ability to primarily use Dual Wield Weapons to deal extraordinarily strong critical hit damage. The build will rely around players using stealth attacks to get the best hit they can on enemies. Furthermore, the gear sets and weapon synergies come in tier 2 and 3 content. Here’s everything you need to know to perform a rogue build in Grounded 2.

Rogue Build explained¶
For the most part, the Rogue build can either use
Daggers, Sickles, or
Fist Weapons. It’s largely for the Dash Attack and the three hit combo burst damage you can do from the Rogue armor set bonus across many craftable armor sets. This is further amplified by the Stealth Ambush mutation that players can use for even bigger critical hits on their stealth ambushed Dash Strikes.
However, Daggers are much further ahead for two main reasons.
- The Cloak and Dagger modifier from the Ambush mutation grants better cit chance with daggers
- Daggers tend to have the higher base crit chance on the weapons.
- Daggers are also affected by the Assassin perk, which increases the crit chance of Dash Strike from Daggers and Sickles, and increase crit damage of those two weapons too.
However, you can use any of these weapons with recommendations for gear or enemy counters.

Armor Sets bonuses and Modifiers Explained¶
You can easily stack venom, dash strike and critical hit and damage buffs by tier 3. Image via Gamer Guides / Obsidian.
For the most part, the daggers are the best weapons due to the Dagger critical hit effect enhancements from the Cloak and Dagger effect. However, the armor sets differ depending on playstyle, content you’re doing and what stage you’re at.
| Armor Set | Best Case Strategy |
|---|---|
| Orb |
Best used with Dash Strikes to ramp your pure crit damage up in Tier 2 content. Get the unique |
| Wolfs Spider Set | Easier to use playstyle that rewards Venom infused weapons like |
| Norther Scorpion Set | Best used if you want to use Norther Shredders. Transition to |
The table above summarizes the armor sets well. But if you want more tactical details about the sets, read on to your preferred armor you’re interested in reading more about.
The
Orb Weaver set provides the the user with improved damage on their Dash Strikes. This ramps their damage up with Cloak and Dagger, Assassin and Ambush. Its the rawest stealth armor set in Tier 2. When equipping the three set, you get
Critical Momentum which builds up your cit hit chance. You lose the stacks when you’re out of combat for too long or get hit. So, the idea is to hit easy to fight things, then keep your stacks high to deal a huge Dash Strike critical hit and one shot most enemies. It’s the biggest burst profile in the game, and one to use when you can play in Coop or easily stealth around.
The Wolfsbane set is more solo-friendly and applies more venom from Dash Strikes that you craft by farming the Wolf Spider enemies. This makes it ideal for story missions where stealth isn’t viable and you’ll be taking frequent hits. You can still use dash strikes for the Ambush mutation perks and the Rogue light combo bust with crits chance and other trinket Acid splash bonuses. and target weak points for decent crit damage bonuses, and for applying venom more effectively. However the set bonus increases your Venom damage from basic attacks. This set is more about spamming attacks and applying Venom with Dash strike to get huge DoT damage effects.
The
Northern Scorpion set functions similarly to Wolfsbane but adds critical hit synergy—crits grant additional Venom stacks. It’s optimized for
Northern Shredders but consider transitioning to
Wolf Spider set as you progress.
Note that Orb Weaver works well with any high crit chance dash strike weapons, though Wolfsbane Daggers remain the top weapon choice regardless of your armor selection.
This concludes all you need to know about the Rogue build in Grounded 2. You should now have an idea of what armor and weapon combos are great. More importantly, you now know what to expect from the rogue build and how to use different weapons and armor sets effectively.
