Early Game Gold Farming Guide
Despite being a large and, frankly, often obtuse game, Crimson Desert avoids the pitfall of thinking every gamer wants to regress back to the dark days before quest logs and fast travel became ubiquitous… it just doesn’t go out of its way to explain to you that fast travel works or how widespread it really is. This page will discuss how to find, unlock and use Abyss Nexus fast travel points in Crimson Desert while also providing a list of all such fast travel points we’ve found, complete with links to our interactive map!
Page Breakdown¶
Look for large question marks on the map - these sources of “Mysterious Energy” may be Abyss Nexuses.
Find these Abyss Nexuses and stand on the circular part in the middle to activate it as a fast travel waypoint.
Finding, Unlocking and Using Abyss Nexus Fast Travel Points¶
The first time we remember seeing fast travel points in a video game were the waypoints in Diablo II. Stone slabs on the ground in certain areas that glowed with blue light once you stood on them… curiously, that’s a pretty close descriptor for the Abyss Nexuses that serve the same function in Crimson Desert.
To unlock Abyss Nexuses, you first have to find them, and unless you use a map (see link above) you’ll need to do some exploring! As you explore, you may find large question mark icons on your map - these signify either some ruin-puzzle you can solve (usually obtaining an Abyss Artifact - used to level up) or a dormant Abyss Nexus. Note that these only appear in the “All” or “Environment” tabs of the map, and even then, only if you’re not too zoomed out. Find these “Mysterious Energy” question marks and explore and if you find a flat patch of out-of-place brickwork with a circular device in the middle, you’ve found an Abyss Nexus. Just stand on the circular part of these ruins until it’s glowing blue and the question mark icon will be removed from your map and replaced by an Abyss Nexus icon.
You can fast travel to any unlocked Abyss Nexus from anywhere in the game, just open up your map, select the desired Abyss Nexus, and teleport away! Just keep in mind that some Abyss Nexuses may be guarded by enemies, so be wary… especially if you see an odd number of “bushes” in the vicinity.
Abyss Nexus Locations¶
Wandering is a huge part of Crimson Desert’s appeal, but exploring is less stressful if you know where to find convenient waypoints! That being the case, here’s a list of every Abyss Nexus we’ve found thus far. Note that this is a work in progress - it’s a big game, and our map team will root out more of these as they keep exploring!:
