Crafting and Refinement Guide - Refinement Preview
All Abyss Cresset Locations
Even after a pre-launch patch boosting inventory space from 20 slots to 50 slots and the addition of numerous Small Bags to merchant inventories to further boost your inventory by one per purchase, you’ll likely find yourself engaged in an eternal, losing battle to prevent yourself from becoming overencumbered. There’s just so much STUFF to pick up and carry about in Crimson Desert, from quest related notes, posters and books, to useful crafting materials, keys and food and obligatory arms and armor… With a bit of exploring, however, you can find an Extra Large Bag that will boost your inventory capacity by a whopping ten slots, and this page will cover its location in Crimson Desert!
This Extra Large Bag can be found along the eastern edge of the Hernand region, southeast of the “Hills of No Return” text on the map.
Extra Large Bag Location¶
To secure this Extra Large Bag - a godsend of supplemental carrying capacity - you’ll need to trek a bit northeast from Hernand city. East of the city you’ll find high ground called “Rocca’s Hill” and “Anvil Hill”, which loom north and south over a river, respectively. For the majority of this journey you want to follow this river northeast - there’s a road just east of the river that runs northeast alongside the river, winding between this river and the aforementioned Anvil Hill. You may encounter the odd group of bandits as you go, but nothing you can’t just ride past on your horse.
Follow the road running northeast along the “Anvil Hill” cliffs to the right and a river to the left and eventually you’ll ford said river and start zig-zagging up a rocky hill.
At one switchback you’ll find a wagon to the west of the road - stop and look near the larger wheel to find this Extra Large Bag!
Eventually the road will bisect another river - a mere stream at this point, really. Ford the river here and pick your way up the rocky slope beyond, where the road will switchback as it meanders uphill. Keep your eyes to the left (west) at this point and you’ll eventually find a derelict wagon just off the road. Just walk up and search near the larger (back) wagon wheel to find this Extra Large Bag lying on the ground nearby. Once you pick it up you’ll permanently gain +10 inventory slots, hopefully keeping your encumbrance woes at bay for a little while. Why merchants can’t craft and sell these wondrous devices is unknown - perhaps the art of making really big bags has been lost to time?
In any event, check out the aptly-named page How to Get More Inventory Space for more tips on expanding this oh-so-precious resource!
