Lend an Ear Trophy and Achievement Guide

In Hell is Us, conversing with the NPCs plays a major part; in fact, there is an achievement for it, called Lend an Ear. This achievement is given to you after you’ve conversed with every NPC in the game, which is a tall order, considering there are 21 of them, some of which are well-hidden. Fortunately, we have compiled a list of all the NPCs below, detailing where you can find them and their roles in the game.

Senedra Forest NPC Locations

There are only two NPCs to speak to in Senedra Forest. Later on, other NPCs will move into the basement with Ernest, provided you do their Good Deeds; however, you’ll speak to them first at the other locations, such as Vyssa Hills.

Ernest can be found at this farm, in the basement.

Acasa Marshes NPC Locations

You can find four NPCs in the Acasa Marshes/Jova area. You must speak to these people for them to count toward the achievement.

Victor can be found in the tunnels in the marsh before he’ll move to Jova.

Captain Vaas Command Tent in the center of Jova The man responsible for the destruction of Jova. He’s involved in the Family Reunion investigation there.
Rebecca House in Jova In the center of Jova is a bombed house with a treehouse outside it. You’ll find her in the attic of the house.
Victor Gaz Tunnels/Jova At first, he’ll be in the tunnels in the north of the marshes; however, after progressing the main story, he’ll end up at the Blacksmith in Jova Involved in the main story and "Victor's Vigil" iconVictor’s Vigil Good Deed.

Vyssa Hills NPC Locations

Gildas is in Watcher’s Rest, and you’ll be seeing a lot of him as he gives you the rewards for Good Deeds.

Atticus Caddell In an alley within the mountain pass in the northwest. Not too far from the Watcher’s Nest Involved in the Family Legacy investigation and the "Heart of Gold" iconHeart of Gold Good Deed
Gildas Brom Located inside the Watcher’s Nest after completing the main puzzle there. He will teach you about Timeloops as well as be the place you turn in the Timeloops and Good Deeds. Also involved with the Family Legacy investigation.
Tania Alver Hut in the mountain pass to the left of the map After progressing the main investigation there, Tania will stay in your APC, and is involved in many investigations throughout the game.
Vitalis Next to the Weeping Knight Statue Progresses the main investigations in the game, Family Reunion and Family Legacy.

Talju NPC Locations

Three to speak to in Talju, Boro, which is near where you start, and the Fran family is in the Town Hall and School.

Boro is in the garage to the right of the APC, where you start. Don’t forget to give him a Signal Flare!

Boro Juven In the garage next to where you start the area Involved in the Searching for the "Keystone of Terror" iconKeystone of Terror investigation. Also, one of the survivors for the A Light in the Dark Good Deed (hand him a "Signal Flare" iconSignal Flare).
Caspian Fran Located in the Town Hall Involved in the Searching for the "Keystone of Terror" iconKeystone of Terror investigation. He is the main part of the story here; do not complete it until you have given your signal flares to each survivor.
Lukhan Fran Can be found in the small room behind the school Involved in the Searching for the "Keystone of Terror" iconKeystone of Terror investigation. You’ll have to go back and forth between Caspian and Lukhan to progress the main investigation.

Lethe NPC Locations

There are two people to speak to in Lethe: one in the library, one in the Ministry of Cultural Primacy.

Iblis has locked himself in the Staff Room. Find the code to speak to him.

Marastan NPC Locations

Only the two that you need to speak to in Marastan. Talis, who is opposite the market, and Father Bramante, who can be found in the small compound.

Talis can be found on the balcony opposite the market.

Auriga Museum NPC Locations

There are a few in Auriga that you’ll need to speak to. Upon talking to Dr. Mabden, you should obtain the trophy/achievement.

Seo is one of the first NPCs you’ll speak to in Auriga. She can be found in the training room on B1.

Dr. Ballam Lamech In the room opposite the Timeloop Speak to him to receive a code related to the main investigation.

That’s it for the Lend an Ear trophy/achievement. After speaking to Dr. Mabden, you should receive the achievement. As mentioned above, there are more NPCs in each region; however, they don’t count toward this specific trophy/achievement.
