The Ever After is one of the easily missable achievements in Hell is Us. It requires players to make sure that all eligible NPCs can make it to Lake Cynon and escape the horrors of the war. Thankfully, there’s not many you can send to Lake Cynon, but it is very easy to break if you don’t complete a good deed in act 1. So, here’s how to complete the Ever After achievement in Hell is Us
Ever After trophy walkthrough¶
To get this trophy, you need to make sure you do the following:
- Complete the Love Thy Neighbor Good Deed in Act 1 Acasa marsh
- Proceed into Act 2 and complete the Pathom Abbey, helping Abbot Jaffer out
Okay, so what decides if you can get this trophy is your actions in Act 1. If you do not complete the Love Thy Neighbor Good Deed in time, you will fail it, and thus fail this trophy. The result is that you need to make sure you do that before progression into Act 2.

To do that, simply do the following:
- Go to the Sabinian Family Tree and pick up the teddy bear item
- Take it to the gas station area, and look for the house with the drunk man inside to the right of the station.
- Give him the bear that you picked up, he will exchange you with a Photo for a school
- Take this photo of the school year to the lady in the house next to where the Abbot is tied up.
- Hand over the photo to Halie Tellah so he can feel like she can be better and heal from her actions and punishments.
This completes the good deed.

Now, you need to wait till Act 2 and complete the Pathom Abbey storyline. When act 2 starts, the Sabinian military will largely leave Jova and head to the Abbey. Here, they will drag Abbot Jaffer with them. Head into the tunnels to the side of the Abbey and you will find Jaffer deep inside the tunnel system. Help him escape, and you will learn about a book called the 
Gospel of Teaar.
This will unlock the next phase of the 
Keystone of Ecstasy questline. When that’s done the Abbot will take Rebbecca with him, and if you completed Love Thy Neighbor, Halie will go with them too.

Note that when you do this, you can get the 
Bottle of Mead - Full from Lake Cynon, which allows you to complete the Captain’s Office Mystery too.
