How to Open the Locked Kitchen Door in Rhodes Hill
As you explore the Rhodes Hill care center, you will find mysterious Antique Coins that you can collect as Grace. These Antique Coins are particularly useful for players to spend in-game, as they offer several big upgrades. However, some are much better than others depending on what stage of Rhodes Hill you’re at. Here’s a look at the best Antique Coin upgrades as Grace in Resident Evil Requiem.
Best Antique Coin Upgrades in Rhodes Hill¶
(1 of 4) This is an absolute must buy as you get extremely limited bag space early on. Image via Gamer Guides / Capcom.
For the most part, you can get all the upgrades from the Coin vending machine in a single run. However, we recommend you get the upgrades in this order:
-
Hip Pouch - Allows you to carry two more items - Costs 3 Antique Coins
-
Steroids - Increases maximum HP - Costs 4 Antique Coins
-
Stabilizer - Increases gun handling and firepower - Costs 4 Antique Coins
-
Override Manual - Increases the Blood Collector’s capacity by 50 - Costs 6 Antique Coins
The Hip Pouch is absolutely massive early on, as carrying two extra bag slots means you don’t need to throw away items or make constant trips to and from the Deposit Box. It’s one of the earliest ways to get more inventory space. Early on, you’ll often find several blades as well. You will get a crafting recipe to turn the blades into scrap, which you can then use to craft ammo and other things. This is extremely useful and also handy for picking up more collectibles you need for the main story, unlocking new areas, and things like that.
The second upgrade then depends on preference. Steroids are perfect for increasing max HP, making it easier to survive. Stabilizers also help significantly. Some zombies can take around four to five headshots to kill, but with the Stabilizer it takes around three to four rounds to kill the more basic ones, sometimes even two.
The most notable benefit is for the achievement requiring you to kill a certain zombie in the East Wing, as that can take two Requiem rounds and one pistol round with the Stabilizer, which is huge for ammo conservation needs. So, pick whichever suits your preference and go from there.
The last upgrade you should get is the Override Manual. You simply don’t need that much blood if you’re crafting recipes early on, as there simply isn’t enough supply around to make use of the added blood capacity. You only really need more than 100 when you want to craft more Stabilizers and Steroids after you get the recipe. You simply don’t get enough parts until later in the level to make use of those buffs, so it’s safe to save this upgrade for last. It’s also expensive.
Thankfully, you can get lots of Antique Coins from the Safe codes to make use of the final upgrade and help round out collecting them all.
When you get the parts to actually craft more upgrades, feel free to continue upgrading Stabilizers or Steroids, depending on what build you prefer.
