Lockpick Locations in Rhodes Hill¶
To find Lockpick locations in Rhodes Hill, you need to head to the following locations:
- Lead Researcher’s Office - Requires East Wing Keycard, then go all the way up the stairs through the Reception area
- Custodian’s Office Locker - Requires Level 1 Access Band
- 1F West Wing Office - Requires unlocking garage stairs first via Level 1 Access Band
You’ll first find Simple Locks to open as you explore the West Wing of Rhodes Hill. However, the first Lockpick only reveals itself when you start progressing through the East Wing. Make sure to complete the West Wing first and get the East Wing Card by progressing through the level. From there, you can get the first Lockpick by opening the East Wing, going straight into the Reception area, and then up the stairs.
The Custodian Office Locker and West Wing Office both require the Level 1 Access Band, which you get from the top of the East Wing. This enables you to reach the garage area for the West Wing Office and the Custodian Office Lockpicks.
Basement Lockpick Locations¶
There are two Lockpicks in the Basement level, which are as follows:
- Basement Boiler Room - Second part of the level after completing main psych ward area
- Basement Workshop Vent - Requires getting the Screwdriver from the Boiler Room
Ideally, these should be used to open the Basement Simple Locks, since the levels are separated. You will unlock the basement portion of the level after completing the Quartz quest as Grace.
Simple Lock Locations and Rewards¶

When you get a Lockpick, you can then open any of the locks in the following locations:
- 2F Gallery - 1x Rare Metal
- 1F East Wing Lobby - 1x Rare Metal
- 1F Hallway (near restroom and kitchen) - 1x Rare Metal
- Basement Bunkroom - 1x Rare Metal
- Basement Inspection - 1x Rare Metal
Note that the Simple Locks all give 1x Rare Metal. This is a crafting item used to craft 12.7x55 ammo with Infected Blood. This ammo type is used to craft 2x Requiem Rounds, which is extremely important for getting extra bullets for firing the Requiem. It will make very good use during your first playthrough to kill the tougher enemies in the game.
There are another two Basement Simple Locks to get as well. You can find them by powering up the different rooms as you progress through the level. Both are relatively optional to get, but it’s worth grabbing them if you’re struggling. Note the ammo also carries over to Leon when he gets the gun back, so that’s an added bonus.
If you’re running a trophy hunting playthrough, then there’s a challenge not to pick up any Infected Blood. If you’re doing that challenge, then you can completely ignore the Simple Locks and Lockpicks in Rhodes Hill. Otherwise, feel free to get them.
This concludes all you need to know about the Simple Locks and Lockpick locations in Resident Evil Requiem’s Rhodes Hill map. There’s also the safe codes and the location in Rhodes Hill too if you want to go and grant the rewards from them too.
