The East Wing Keycard is one of the most important items you need to get to progress in Resident Evil Requiem, unlocking access to the East Wing of Rhodes Hill and progressing Grace’s story. However, obtaining the East Wing Keycard requires several steps. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get the East Wing Keycard in Resident Evil Requiem’s Rhodes Hill level.

East Wing Keycard Location

To find the East Wing Keycard in Rhodes Hill, you need to get the Ruby Crystal from the Chairman’s Office. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do that from the start of the West Wing to the end. This will ignore collectibles and things like that, but there will be things to get and come back to in this area later on.

(1 of 6) Move the Chef equipment so he can enrange and move the blocker for you. Image via Gamer Guides / Capcom.

  1. Move though the West Wing Hall and make your way to through to the Kitchen.

  2. You’ll find the Chef there. Wait for him to move to the new chopping spot, then move the washing trolley behind him.

    • Get spotted and he should launch the trolley out of the way while he’s angered. You can hide outside the kitchen door till he settles down. Once it’s clear, get past it and into the new hallway.
  3. That then follows by dealing with the lightswitch zombie in the hallway by turning the light on at the far rear of the hallway, near the bathrooms, and sneaking past it.

    • Turn the light switch on and hide behind the cover to the right of the entrance to that room.
  4. From there, you get to the shortcut back, alongside the Dining Hall. That then leads you to the stairwell that takes you to the balcony and then the Chairman’s Office.

    • You’ll get chased by a zombie walking past the table so, feel free to hide in the Filing Room that is around that corner.
  5. Climb the staircase and you’ll get to the balcony where you heard the singing.

    • There is a zombie on the stairs so feel free to kill it or kite it to the Filing Room again and head past it.
  6. There’s a singer zombie on the balcony bar area, which is a tough enemy and the two other zombies can be hard too.

    • Sneak past them while you can and follow the pathway to the right. That leads to the Chairman’s Office.
  7. The East Wing Keycard is located inside the Unicorn Trinket Box in the Chairman’s Office, alongside one of the desks with the lamp on the left as you enter the door.

    • Rotate it around and check the back of the Unicorn Trinket Box, and you should get an interaction pop-up.
    • Interact and you can get the Ruby Crystal from inside.
  8. Now head around the corner and unlock the shortcut to the main area with the stairs where the Security Safe Room is.

    • Be careful of the zombie that walks around there. She can wake back up if you path that way again, so it might be worth using an Injector on her if you want to.
    • Or keep some ammo spare if you’re going for achievement runs.
    • Or kite her into the Chairman’s Office and shut the door behind her on your way out. Either works.
  9. You can now quickly head back to the lower level of the West Wing and check that locked door near the Kitchen.

  10. Be warned: the Chef now patrols this corridor leading from the shortcut to the Dining Hall and Kitchen doors.

    • You can kill the Chef here, which is much easier with a Hemolytic Injector (which you unlock in the East Wing by the way). But for now, wait for it to pass near the shortcut door and run to the Parlor to avoid him easily enough.
  11. With the Chef dealt with or avoided, you can use the Ruby Crystal on the door along that hallway.

    • It will unlock the Parlor, which contains a room to spend your Antique Coins on upgrades for Grace.
    • At the back of the room near a scientist’s corpse, you can find a severed hand. It contains the East Wing Keycard.

With this room unlocked, we recommend you come back here and grab the upgrades when you can with spare coins. You should absolutely buy the Hip Pouch as it’s a great early-game method to improve inventory space. It doesn’t spoil achievement runs either.
