How to Open the Briefcase in Raccoon Police Department¶
- To open the Briefcase using the short method, the code is R-R-R.
However, the chain to unlocking it has files associated with it. If you are planning on doing reruns as is common with Resi games, unlock bonus content, as is normal, you want to do the full guide.
To start the actual Briefcase puzzle code, you need to check the file location on the desk closest towards the door to the Briefcase. It should be the To-Do List file. When you interact with that, go straight to the large office in the S.T.A.R.S. room and open or check the drawer in the desk. You should get a Library Card file.
With the Library Card, go into the Library and then climb the stairs to the second floor. Cross the bridge over the library, and you should find a book in one of the shelves on its side. An interact symbol should appear when you’re nearby. Interacting with it will allow you to open a book and then get a Photograph file from it. Rotating the file around gives you the phrase Rising Rookie Rebecca, which is where the R-R-R code comes from.
You can now return to the Briefcase and open it, ensuring you have got everything along the way as normal.
Opening the Briefcase awards you with Power Shades Charm, which grants a charm for Requiem. It offers limitless bullet penetration and increases the firepower of the last bullet in the Cylinder. Makes it perfect for unloading against swarms of enemies or bursting a big bad boss with the last round in the cylinder.
There’s also the treasure hunt puzzle that also starts in that room too if you need help completing that for completionist sake. You get another charm for your troubles for automatic weapons!
