Kerotans are a collectible that are hidden throughout your adventure in Metal Gear Solid Delta. They are small green dolls of frogs that you can strike with any weapon, upon which doing so, will cause them to make some noise. There are a total of 64 Kerotan in the game and getting them all will earn you the Kerotan title, as well as unlock the Stealth Camouflage. This page will detail where to find all of the Kerotans in the game, complete with screenshots of each one.

Kerotan 1 - Dremuchij South¶

The first Kerotan is found in the very first area you gain control in, Dremuchij South. Once you drop in, crawl underneath the fallen log and climb the tree to retrieve your backpack, which will give you your equipment back. When you have that, return to the first area and look on the eastern side of the map to find a path leading uphill. At the top, look west on the rocky part and you should see the little Kerotan doll there. Equip your gun and shoot it, making sure to confirm you hear the noise it makes upon doing so.

Kerotan 2 - Dremuchij Swamplands¶

After exiting Dremuchij South, you will find yourself in the Dremuchij Swamplands. Cross the swampy area, being mindful of the Gavials, and potentially being sucked into the swamp itself. On the opposing end from where you entered, there is a path leading to the northern exit. Go there and follow it slightly, until you reach a tree that has some Fruit C on it. From where that tree is located, look to the east and you should see the Kerotanon the rock there.

Kerotan 3 - Dremuchij North¶

When you arrive in this area, you will face your first set of enemies. Kill/put to sleep them and progress towards the northern side of the area. You will see two paths here, which will loop around and connect with one another. Follow either path to the east, and down the little hill there. At the eastern end, you will see a tree stump, which will have the Kerotan on it. Note that it’s hard to see the frog doll from certain angles, so make sure you are looking at it from straight on.

Kerotan 4 - Dolinovodno¶

This is one of the easier Kerotans to find, especially in the beginning section. Once you get to this area and take out the guard, you’ll have to cross a long bridge. Before crossing it, look at the top of the poles at the southern end. The pole on the left side will have the Kerotan sitting on top of it.

Kerotan 5 - Rassvet¶

This is the final area during the Virtuous Mission, where you need to rescue Sokolov. Head straight north from the entrance to find where you can get into the compound itself. Right by the stairs leading to an elevated area, there will be an irregular hole in the wall. Look through that hole to find the Kerotan.

Kerotan 6 - Dremuchij East¶

The first area you reach as part of Operation Snake Eater is Dremuchij East. You cannot return to this area after you drop off into Dremuchij North, so make sure you collect everything here on your first go. When you reach the open area of Dremuchij East, look for some logs on the western side of it. The Kerotan will be behind the logs and while it’s possible to get it from the front side, you have an easier shot by going around to the northern side of the logs.

Kerotan 7 - Rassvet¶

Read the note above to see that you’ll lose access to your gun from Dremuchij North onwards, until you complete the story event in Rassvet. Once you have your weaponry back, you can begin hunting for Kerotans again. Yes, each area you visited during Virtuous Mission will now have a new Kerotan, in a completely different spot. For Rassvet, the Kerotan will be underneath the stairs in the western facility. You can easily see it by going to the right side of the stairs.

Kerotan 8 - Dolinovodno¶

During Operation Snake Eater, backtrack to Dolinovodno and head to the northern end of the bridge. From here look east to find a ledge where you’ll easily spot Kerotan 4. Just the wrong shade of green to hide in this jungle, lil’ frog.

Kerotan 9 - Dremuchij North¶

A rather sneaky collectible, return to Dremuchij North during Operation Snake Eater and from the northern exit to Dolinovodno, head southwest into an open area, turn south to reach a fork, then turn left (east) to find a tree you can climb. Climb the tree and when you’re out on the branch turn northwest to find this Kerotan on some high ground.

Kerotan 10 - Dremuchij Swampland¶

Backtrack to the Dremuchij Swampland during Operation Snake Eater and cross the swamp again. You’ll find this Kerotan hiding behind some trees on the shore west of the swamp - it’s hard to see from the east, but if you head north along the western edge of the area you should spot it.

Kerotan 11 - Dremuchij South¶

During Operation Snake Eater, return all the way to Dremuchij South, where Operation Virtuous began, and head to the cliffs along the southernmost edge of the map. From here, turn west and climb over a fallen tree to reach the small area where two snakes roam (well, three, including Snake himself). This Kerotan is on a ledge to the northwest.

Kerotan 12 - Chyornj Prud¶

Swim across the pond and reach the northeastern shore, then from the northern end of this shore look out northwest to spot a tree growing out of the water along the northern boundary of the area. There’s a GA-KO on this branch, but to find the Kerotan you’ll need to dive under the water and search the base of the tree. This Kerotan is there, on the bed of the pond.

Kerotan 13 - Bolshaya Past South¶

Get to the third electrified fence near the northern edge of this area and search along the eastern edge of the fence. This Kerotan can be found hiding amidst a cluster of trees along the fence.

Kerotan 14 - Bolshaya Past Base¶

Search inside the largest building in the center of the map, a barracks, by the look of things. This Kerotan is under a chair along the southern edge of the larger, eastern room, under some bookshelves.

Kerotan 15 - Bolshaya Past Crevice¶

A notoriously sneaky Kerotan, you’ll have to sniff it out during your fight with Ocelot at Bolshaya Past Crevice. Fortunately you’ve only got access to a limited strip of land, so there’s not many places to look. Head to the southeastern edge of the land you’re on and look past a crevice towards the grass, where some of Ocelots goons are standing. You’ll find this Kerotan well-hidden in the tall grass.

Kerotan 16 - Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch¶

After an encounter at the Bolshaya Past Crevice (which you can’t explore on your first visit) you’ll end up in the Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch. It’s initially quite dark and you have no way to see - either just wait until Snake’s night vision improves, or trek blindly in search of some illumination. Like GA-KO 15, this Kerotan can be found alongside a source of illumination, but it’s a bit further afield and frankly it’s easier to find if you go get the Torch, first, which is along the way.

From the room you begin in, go east, then north to reach another chamber, which itself has three exits. Search the northwestern edge of the room to find a passage running north, leading to a chamber with two waterfalls, between which is a cubby housing the Torch. GA-KO 15 is above this Torch, between the two waterfalls. Grab the Torch, then find a tunnel along the western edge of the room running northwest. This leads to a small chamber with some lower ground to the west - stay on high ground and go north until the tunnel narrows to the point where you have to crawl. Crawl northeast to reach another chamber, then find another narrow passage to the southeast and crawl through it to reach a chamber with a watery pit along its southern end. The NVG are south of the pit, and this Kerotan is just above the NVG on the wall, also south of the pit.

Kerotan 17 - Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch¶

Head north along either the passage to the northeast or northwest (although you’d be wise to grab the M37 to the northeast) and eventually make your way north until you reach a large, watery chamber where you’ll fight The Pain. Defeat him and swim to the northern end of the room to find a ledge that ropes around south along the eastern edge of the chamber. Follow this ledge to the southeastern edge of the chamber and look up at the ceiling above the boulder The Pain fought from to find a large hole in the ceiling. This Kerotan can be found in this hole

Kerotan 18 - Chyornaya Peschera Cave Entrance¶

We’re almost out of these caves now! Just head northish, zig-zagging as you follow the whims of the linear passage ahead. Pass through a small chamber open to the sky where a short scene plays, then continue until you reach another larger chamber where, if you look to the northwest, you’ll spot a collapsed boulder over an opening to a side passage. Crawl under this fallen boulder - not because you don’t have enough room to walk, but because there are two Claymores in the small chamber beyond. Disarm them by crawling over them, then turn around and look up (southeast) at the boulder you just crawled under to find this Kerotan. We may have walked into the claymores, which for some reason also counted as collecting the Kerotan, but whatever works!

Kerotan 19 - Ponizovje South¶

This one’s almost a freebie. As soon as you reach Ponizovje South, look ahead and to the left (northwest) to spot the telltale bright green of this Kerotan on the shore.

Kerotan 20 - Ponizovje West¶

Enter this area by following the stream in Ponizovje South to the north until it forks, at which point turn northwest to end up in Ponizovje West. From the entrance to this area, wade and swim west until the area opens up, then swim north until you’re near a small wooden dock outside of a building. There are two guards up on dry land here, so either take them out or dive before they see you and swim west of this small wooden dock and search for a grate cover to the north. The Kerotan is just beyond the grate.

Kerotan 21 - Ponizovje Warehouse: Exterior¶

From the entrance, wade/swim to the west to find a concrete wall and a gate. The Kerotan is in plain sight, on the concrete wall to the south of the gate.

Kerotan 22 - Ponizovje Warehouse¶

Sneak into the larger warehouse room to the west and head into the southwestern corner of the level, near a closed gate. From here look up to the northeast to spot this Kerotan on a horizontal concrete brace near the ceiling.

Kerotan 23 - Granny Gorki South¶

Avoid tripwire traps as you work your way to the northernmost edge of the map, where the exit is. On some high ground to the west of the exit ledge is a tree. This Kerotan is on a branch, in plain sight.

Kerotan 24 - Graniny Gorki Lab Exterior 1F¶

From the entrance head west to find a section of fence you can crawl under, then sneak north around the western edge of the building and into some tall grass. From here turn west to spot this Kerotan on some high ground above you, near a tree.

Kerotan 25 - Graniny Gorki Lab Exterior 1F¶

Sneak under the outer walls beyond the fence, then head to the eastern edge of the enclosure to find a small building. This Kerotan is through the window on the western edge of the building.

Kerotan 27 - Graniny Gorki Lab B1 (East)¶

Go down the eastern stairs in Graniny Gorki Lab 1F (just north of Kerotan 26) and when you arrive head south down a hallway, then turn right around a corner to reach some cells. This Kerotan is in the westernmost cell, atop a small table.

Kerotan 28 - Graniny Gorki Lab B1 (West)¶

Go down the western flight of stairs in the Graniny Gorki Lab 1F area to reach Graniny Gorki Lab B1 (West). From the stairs, go down hallways to the north, south, west and north again until you find a door to the left (west) which leads to a rec room. Put the scientist within to sleep (momentarily or permanently, as you prefer) and search the northwestern corner of the rec room to find this Kerotan in plain sight atop a bookstall, next to a chalk board.

Kerotan 29 - Svyatogornyj South¶

From the entrance to Ponizovje Warehouse, head northeast and turn around and look southwest towards the entrance, then look up above a fence to find this Kerotan on a concrete ledge along the building above the entrance, in the corner.

Kerotan 30 - Svyatogornyj West¶

From the exit to Svyatogornyj South, just follow the western cliffs to the north to find this Kerotan on a rock just past a tree you can climb, along the southwestern edge of the map.

Kerotan 31 - Svyatogornyj East 1F¶

In the northeastern corner of this map is a building. Enter via the door along the southwestern corner of the building and once inside head north, go through another door to the west and turn south to find this Kerotan on a shelf.

Kerotan 32 - Sokrovenno South¶

Along the western edge of this area you’ll find a small building. This Kerotan is just behind (north of) this building, on some rocks.

Kerotan 33 - Sokrovenno West¶

Search the southern edge of this map to find a stream running into a cave. This Kerotan is in the cave, relatively out in the open if you’re looking south from within the stream.

Kerotan 34 - Sokrovenno North¶

Along the southwestern edge of this level are three trails exiting to other areas. From the easternmost of these three trails (which connects to Sokrovenno South) follow the cliffs to your right as you head north and east to find this Kerotan along the cliff you were following, near a tree.

Kerotan 35 - Krasnogorje Tunnel¶

From the exit to Sokrovenno North head north, but keep looking left (west) to spot this Kerotan on the ground. It’s hiding behind a support arch and is designed to be hidden from the south, but if you turn around and look from the north, it’s plainly visible.

Kerotan 36 - Krasnogorje Mountain Base¶

From the exit to Krasnogorje Tunnel, head west and drop off a ledge (which marks a point of no return, by the way), then head north over the hilly, broken landscape ahead. Make your way to the northwestern edge of this map and look up at the cliffs above you to spot this Kerotan.

Kerotan 37 - Krasnogorje Mountainside¶

Make your way to the northeastern part of this map, near the exit to Krasnogorje Mountaintop. There are some small buildings here, along with some artillery. You’ll find this Kerotan on the roof of the southeasternmost building up here, and you can just shoot its green little head from the artillery to the west.

Kerotan 38 - Krasnogorje Mountaintop¶

This Kerotan is just off the southeastern edge of the map, on some impasasble cliffs. From where you enter, head uphill to the east to get near a small building. From the eastern side of this building turn south to spot this Kerotan in plain sight.

Kerotan 39 - Krasnogorje Mountaintop: Behind Ruins¶

Exit the Krasnogorje Mountaintop area to trigger a scene, after which you’ll be outside in the Krasnogorje Mountaintop: Behind Ruins area, looking norther at the base in the distance. Both GA-KO 39 and Kerotan 39 are within view at the moment, but they’re both fairly far away, especially this Kerotan. Look north at the base and get your binoculars out, zooming in on the closest red radio tower. Find the number “07” painted on this tower and look up from the “0” to find this Kerotan. We had to use a rifle to hit it at this range.

Kerotan 40 - Krasnogorje Mountaintop Ruins¶

After the scene with Eva, get the Kerotan and GA-KO in the Krasnogorje Mountaintop: Behind Ruins area, then backtrack into the Krasnogorje Mountaintop Ruins. Go downstairs, turn right (west) and look at a shelf near the ceiling over a bed frame to find this Kerotan.

Kerotan 41 - Groznyj Grad Underground Tunnel¶

You will need to find this Kerotan during the fight with The Fury - you won’t be able to explore the area after the fight. Once the battle begins, head to the northern edge of this map, up an elevated ledge and towards a doorway. This Kerotan is south of here, in the maze where The Fury stalks, on a pipe looming over one of the central passages.

Kerotan 42 - Groznyj Grad 1F (Southwest)¶

From where you enter after arriving from Groznyj Grad Underground Tunnel, head west until you find several numbered mechanical bays. Look for “67” and note the bay doors are open just a crack - look inside to find this Kerotan.

Kerotan 43 - Groznyj Grad 1F (Southeast)¶

When you enter this area (ideally by crawling through a hole in the wall near where you can find GA-KO 43) find a building in the east-center of this map and climb the stairs on the western face of the building. Once on the roof, look southeast to spot this Kerotan on the southeastern corner of a higher part of the roof.

Kerotan 44 - Groznyj Grad Torture Room¶

Enter the building along the west-center of Groznyj Grad 1F (Southeast) to reach the Groznyj Grad Torture Room area. From the entrance, turn left, go down a hallway and enter the room straight ahead. This Kerotan is along the eastern end of the room, under a desk. This room also has the Camera in it, and a guard.

Kerotan 45 - Groznyj Grad 1F (Northeast)¶

After getting Kerotan 44, climb down the stairs to return to the western face of the building in Groznyj Grad 1F (Southeast). Head north and east around this building to reach its northeastern end where you’ll find a hole in the ground you can crawl into. Do so, crawl west, then take a fork to the north to reach Groznyj Grad 1F (Northeast). Keep crawling north until you spot a side passage to the west. This Kerotan is down this passage, beyond a gate. Continue crawling north, then east and you’ll find a hole you can surface through, putting you in a prime spot to go get GA-KO 44.

Kerotan 46 - Groznyj Grad 1F (Northwest)¶

Along the southern half of this area you’ll find several tanks parked, and northwest of them is a caged-off area with a watchtower inside. This Kerotan is atop some stairs along the northern edge of this fenced-off area.

Kerotan 47 - Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: East Wing¶

Go to the northeastern corner of the building and head upstairs to find an office. This Kerotan is atop a bookshelf along the northern wall.

Kerotan 48 - Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: West Wing¶

To reach this area you must find and incapacitate Raikov (the white-haired officer) in the Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: East Wing, then drag him upstairs and into the room with the lockers (south of where you can find Kerotan 47). Once done a scene will trigger and you’ll get the “Officer” uniform and the “Mask” face. Don’t put them on yet, but exit through a door in the southwestern corner of the locker room to reach Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing and go through there to reach Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: West Wing Corridor. Incapacitate the guards by the door, then, while standing near the exit back to the Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing, look out the window to the left to find this Kerotan standing on a street light outside. You can shoot it through the window. Exit out to Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing, put on the Officer and Mask camouflage, then head back in and approach the new guards to trigger a scene.

#Kerotan 49 - Tikhogornyj

After the scenes in the Tikhogornyj: Behind Waterfall area, exit back out into Tikhogornyj and follow the river south until you reach the southern edge of the map, where your progress is hindered by some flotsam. Not that it matters - this Kerotan sits in the water at the edge of the obstruction. You probably saw it on your way to Tikhogornyj: Behind Waterfall, but now that you have your gear back, you can actually shoot it.

Kerotan 50 - Tikhogornyj: Behind Waterfall¶

Head up the tunnel opposite the waterfall until you find a red door on your left. Enter and you’ll find a ladder. Do not climb it, but stand in front of it, then turn around and look up to spot this Kerotan on a pipe. Make sure you’ve got 50 Kerotans and 50 GA-KOs before you climb the ladder - you can’t get the two in Tikhogornyj and Tikhogornyj: Behind Waterfall after you ascend!

Kerotan 51 - Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing¶

Backtrack here (once you enter via the same door you used in Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: East Wing you’ll get a scene where Snake opens the door) and after grabbing GA-KO 51, head downstairs to the ground floor, work your way to the western side of the hangar and go up some stairs. Head north past the Shagohod and keep going north until you find some stairs going down near one of the fuel tanks you have to destroy. At this fuel tank, turn right (east) to find some yellow barriers between some green consoles. This Kerotan is hiding on the floor between one of these yellow barriers.

Kerotan 52 - Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing¶

During the boss battle with Volgin, look up at the southwestern corner of the arena to spot this Kerotan above you, near some crates.

Kerotan 53 - Groznyj Grad¶

A few seconds into the chase scene with Eva, she’ll stop in front of a guard tower. Aim into the guard tower with a sniper rifle (SVD, Mosin Nagant) to spot this Kerotan.

Kerotan 54 - Groznyj Grad Runway South¶

When Eva stops for the first time, look left to find this Kerotan on a fork lift. There’s also a GA-KO to the right on some barrels - you should have plenty of time to hit both.

Kerotan 55 - Groznyj Grad Runway¶

When you start this map, aim and Snake should automatically turn around and face his pursuers. As you aim, look right off the side of the runway and you’ll spot some numbered signs. The Kerotan is atop the “7” sign and the GA-KO is atop the “11” sign. You will probably need a few attempts to get these, as you will need to shoot while Eva drives - the SVD is your best bet at hitting anything due to its passable fire rate. To have a good shot at hitting this Kerotan, just aim a bit to the right of where Snake aims by default so you can see the signs off the road and start shooting at the Kerotan atop the “7” sign when you see it. Since it easier to hit the GA-KO while aiming over Eva instead of just slightly to the right, you’ll probably need at least two runs to get this, but you keep any Kerotan/GA-KO progress when you load, so just make sure you have 55 of both when this scene ends and you’re golden. We set the aim sensitivity up to 2.0 for this.

Kerotan 56 - Groznyj Grad Runway¶

The second screen of the Groznyj Grad Runway. More of the same here, equip the SVD and this time use the direction Eva is driving for orientation. Aim ahead and to your left to hit this Kerotan, which is on the “18” sign. You really can’t hit this one easily if you’re aiming back, as the Shagohod will be in your way by the time this comes into view.

Kerotan 57 - Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge¶

Before the Shagohad tries to cross the rail bridge, stand up and look at the the support beams under the bridge’s surface, towards the left (the side Snake and Eva are on), and you’ll spot this Kerotan down there. Pop it with the SVD.

Kerotan 58 - Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge¶

During the second phase of the fight with Shagohod, when Snake is on foot. Look northwest to spot a red and white tower. This Kerotan is at the base of the tower, in front of one of its legs.

Kerotan 59 - Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge North¶

After the brief reprieve of being able to take your time and pick off Kerotan 58 and GA-KO 58 while a tank tried to flatten you, we’re in another vehicle segment. Your chance to hit this Kerotan will come at the end of this driving segment - after Eva maneuvers around the vehicles near the watchtower (where you can hit GA-KO 59) she’ll drive up a road, at the edge of which are some red and white road barriers. This Kerotan is on the ground between them.

Kerotan 60 - Lazorevo South¶

This section provides us with some fun opportunities - there won’t be any enemies ahead of us and given the speed Eva is driving, you’ll have to be aiming forward for these, meaning there’s no risk whatsoever of killing an enemy, meaning you can use spray-and-pray weapons, a shotgun, or even the RPG-7 if you’d rather leave this more up to luck than skill. We’re lacking in skill, so we used an RPG-7 for this Kerotan - keep your eyes forward and slightly to the right near the start of the area and you’ll see two boulders to the right of the trail. This Kerotan is on the ground in front of the second boulder. If you can hit the broad side of a boulder with an RPG while driving, it should be good enough for Kerotan 60.

Kerotan 61 - Lazorevo North¶

More of the same. Once again, this Kerotan will be near the start of the area, on a boulder to the left. Aim forward and slightly to the left at the start to get a good shot at this Kerotan - it’s a harder target to hit with an RPG than Kerotan 60 was, but the shotgun also works well here. Since GA-KO 61 and Kerotan 61 are both near the start of the area, it’s rather painless to make a few attempts at these.

Kerotan 62 - Zaozyorje West¶

At the start of this area you’ll need to cure both Eva and Snake, after which trudge along the linear path east and south to trigger a scene. Following this you’ll be in “Caution” status for the rest of the map, so be wary of pursuers spawning behind you and ensure Eva is following you and kept healed and fed. At a fork following this cutscene, turn west until you have to cross a log bridge. While standing on this log, look down and to the east to spot this Kerotan below you.

Kerotan 63 - Zaozyorje East¶

Unlike the last area, enemies won’t be spawning behind you, but you’ll still have the “Caution” statue. Otherwise things will work the same way - summon Eva when the coast is clear and keep her wounds healed and her belly full as you make your way towards the exit to the northeast. Go downhill from where you start, dispatch any enemies you see, and at a fork you’ll see a large tree. This Kerotan is behind the tree.

Kerotan 64 - Rokovoj Bereg¶

There are a number of trees in this battlefield, this Kerotan is atop one southeast of the center of the map. When in doubt, just look up at the top of every tree until you spot it.
