During the missions in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you will have to procure your own food. This comes in the form of fruits, animals and plants. One of the food items you can get is Mushrooms, which are usually found in logs or at the base of trees, although they can be found elsewhere. The biggest problem with mushrooms are that they don’t appear on the Motion Detector/Sonar, so they can be a little difficult to see. Thermal Goggles can be used to see the mushrooms, though, so make sure you get them when you can.

Mushroom A - Russian Oyster

The Russian Oyster is the first mushroom you can find in the game, since it’ll be on the very first screen upon starting a new one. In Dremuchij South, as soon as you regain control and can move, look to your west to see some kind of fallen tree/log. You can climb over this log, if you wanted, to some isolated area, but that’s not important for this mushroom. Look on the eastern side of the log for the mushroom, which you can dislodge with your knife.

Once you gain control in Dremuchij South, look on the logs to your left to find the Russian Oyster mushroom.

Mushroom B - Ural Luminescent

If you get all of the mushrooms along the way during the game, this is likely the final one you will collect. You won’t see an Ural Luminescent until a fair ways into the game, in the Svyatogornyj West area, which isn’t too far past The Fear boss battle. In the area, when you get to a fork in the path, go west first and you’ll find this mushroom near the tree that isn’t climbable. This mushroom is poisonous if you eat it.

Look at the base of the trees in Svyatogornyj West for the Ural Luminescent.

Mushroom C - Siberian Ink Cap

Siberian Ink Caps are probably the easiest mushroom to find in the game, since they are very common and in a lot of areas. When you first begin the game (Dremuchij South), you’ll have to crawl under a log to reach the climbable tree that has your backpack. Don’t crawl under the log, though, but face it and look just left of it for another tree. At the base of this tree will be the mushroom. You can find more some in Dremuchij North, under a broken tree, as well as in a lot more areas.

The Siberian Inkcap mushroom is extremely common and found in a lot of the zones.

Mushroom D - Fly Agaric

The Fly Agaric is another poisonous mushroom, so don’t eat it once you’ve obtained one. When you reach the Graniny Gorki South area, which isn’t too far past The Pain battle. This place has a lot of mushrooms and most of them will be the Fly Agarics. Note that this is the same area where you can capture the Tsuchinoko with the Mousetraps.

You can find a lot of Fly Agarics in Graniny Gorki South.

Mushroom E - Russian Glowcap

After the Ocelot boss battle, you will end up in the Chyornaya Peschera Branch cave, which is dark. Upon first arrive, you can actually use your Cigar to give off a little light. Find the two waterfalls and look for the crevice in between them, where you’ll find the Torch. Once you get the Torch, it’s a lot easier to see and you’ll find some Russian Glowcaps in the same area. You can find more in the Chyornaya Peschera Cave Entrance, as well as in Groznyj Grad Underground Tunnel and Tikhogornyj Behind Waterfall. Note that this mushroom, when consumed, will restore your battery for devices like the Motion Detector and Sonar.

You can find a Russian Glowcap next to the Torch in Chyornaya Peschera Cave.

Mushroom F - Spatsa

You’ll find this mushroom, as well as the next one, in an area a little later in the game. In fact, it will be the area right before Mushroom B. The area in question is Svyatogernyj South, not too long after your battle with The Fear. This area has no enemies, so you can freely explore it without causing any trouble. Look at the base of the trees here to see any mushrooms, which will either be this one, or the next one. Note that this mushroom, when consumed, will put you to sleep, so be careful when eating it.

You can find the Spatsa mushroom in Svyatogornyj South.

The same is also true for the Baikal Scaly Tooth mushroom.

Mushroom G - Baikal Scaly Tooth

The Baikal Scaly Tooth is first found in the same area as the Spatsa, in Svyatogernyj South. You can also find more in Svyatogernyj West, as well as Tikhogornyj.
