Toward the end of Heavy Is the Head, after defeating Leofrith, you’ll be presented with a choice to kill or spare him. This can have a significant impact on the game world from here, so it’s important that you’re aware of the consequences.
Kill Leofrith: Consequences¶
If you choose to kill Leofrith, Ceolbert will disapprove, stating that Leofrith didn’t deserve to die. In addition, you won’t get any extra loot and the zealots from the Order of Ancients will begin to actively hunt Eivor.
Spare Leofrith: Consequences¶
If you spare Leofrith, Ceolbert will approve and Leofrith will thank you for giving him the opportunity to seek vengeance against Burgred. In addition, Leofrith will inform you about an Order of Ancients scroll which has been placed at the temple of Venonis, and that you’ll need to destroy this as soon as possible, before the zealots find it and begin actively hunting Eivor.
