Redux Stones and Remaking Gear
Farming Treasure Grove Saplings
It’s inevitable that games will get more content added to them, which is no exception to Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. On July 2, 2025, the game was updated to Version 1.4.0, which added some new recipes that require a new material, the Glittering Silk. You will have to venture to Ginormosia to get the
Glittering Silk Thread needed to craft the silk, so check out the info below to learn everything you need for this item.
Before you can make it, you have to purchase the recipe from Marco’s Shop.
Glittering Silk Recipe¶
Before heading out to get the Glittering
Silk Thread, you will first need the recipe for the Glittering
Silk, as you don’t automatically have it in your inventory with this update. Thankfully, you won’t have to go too far to get the recipe, as
Marco’s Shop will have it at your base camp. It’s unclear if it’s available right away, since we had everything already fully upgraded. Either way, the recipe is sold straight out for
Dosh, so you won’t need any Celestial’s Gifts or
Goddess Fruits.
Beware the Glittering Silk - Goliath Hill Spider¶
In order to get the silk thread here, you’ll need to find a specific Area Challenge in Ginormosia. The title of this challenge is Beware the Glittering Silk and it’s fairly common. It can appear in Viridia Plateau, Moltana Wastes, Scorchrock Mountain, South Greatgut Plains, Crickneck Canyon, Drakeseye Valley, and Drakesnout Range. The icon is the standard enemy challenge, and it will show up from Area Rank 1, so you will see it from the very beginning.
Upon reaching the challenge and triggering the enemies, you will spawn some
Cave Stars. Defeat them (source for
Marine Silk Threads) and two
Hill Spiders will show up, along with a Goliath Hill Spider. That last enemy is the source of the Glittering Silk Thread, although the drop rate for it seems to be fairly low. Since there are usually multiple challenges of this type on the map at once, it’s easy enough to keep trying to get the material.
All Glittering Silk Recipes¶
In order to make one Glittering Silk, you will need two threads. Considering how rare they can be, this could take a while, but there’s not much you can do except keep trying. There are a number of new recipes added into the game that require the silk here, which can be purchased from a number of shops. Check out the table below for all of the recipes that require this item.
| Recipe | Location |
|---|---|
| Modern Girl’s Clothes | |
| Modern Girl’s Hat | |
| Modern Girl’s Boots | |
| Retro Boy’s Clothes | |
| Retro Boy’s Hat | |
| Retro Boy’s Shoes | |
| Sweet Ribbon Dress | The Don |
| Sweet Hairband | The Don |
| Sweet Shoes | The Don |
| Plushling Lounge Chair | |
| Ginkgo Chair | The Don |
| Dicot Chair | The Don |
| Honewort Chair | The Don |
For the recipes that require The Don in Ginormosia, it’s a good idea to have gotten any Area Rank to 5+. The recipes he stocks will depend on the highest Area Rank you have achieved across the entire map, but it doesn’t matter for the current Area Rank of the region he appears in, so don’t worry about that.
