You will find plenty of optional content in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, some of which are actual games from the past. One of the things you can actually play is the Master System, with there being a number of ROMs you’ll find throughout your journey. You will be able to play the Master System in any of your hideouts, but there are only five games available by default. The rest of the games have to be found, but they aren’t in random locations, like with previous games. This page will list the location of every single Master System ROM in the game.

You can find a Master System in all of your hideouts.

List of Master System Games

As mentioned above, you will be able to play the Master System in any of your hideouts. The first one unlocked is the shed on Rich Island, but more become available throughout the rest of the story. There’s the Revolve bar in Honolulu, as well as the pirate’s room in Madlantis. Whenever you access the Master System, you have the option to play either the International or Japanese versions, but that doesn’t matter too much. While playing a game, access the menu and choose to Change Game Selection to switch.

For the games, you simply can buy them all. Each one will cost you $300 and they are all found at the various Treasure Select Pawn shops throughout Hawaii. You don’t have to do anything extra to unlock them, either, as they are all available as soon as you can access those shops.

All of the non-default games can be bought from the pawn shops.

As you can see from the list above, there are a total of 15 Master System games, of which, five are available from the start. The other 10 need to be bought, but they are completely optional. Other than a trophy/achievement for playing 10 minigames, the only other thing in the game for these are some Challenges for Reputation. To get all of them, you simply need to play 12 of the 15 games. Even then, you simply just have to start the game up for it to count.
