There are a few trophies/achievements in Borderlands 4 that are a bit of a mystery on what you have to do to unlock them. One of these is the Rift Incompatible trophy/achievement, which simply asks you find Oddman’s final resting place. You will actually meet Oddman as part of a side mission, called Exit Through the Rift Shop. This is a bit tricky, as there is a choice on what to do with him during the course of the mission, but if you pick the wrong option, then you can miss this trophy/achievement.
Oddman’s Final Resting Place¶
Exit Through the Rift Shop will be unlocked during the course of the main story, usually after clearing the first main area, as well as one of the subsequent secondary areas (the main missions). There are four spots where this mission can be started, too, so check the map for the side mission markers until you see it. Progress through this side mission as usual, until you get to the end, where you can either punch or shoot Oddman. Make sure you pick the option to punch him, as shooting him doesn’t seem to trigger the trophy/achievement.
Oddman’s frozen body will be right by the Parting Gift Dead Bolt.
Once you punch him, the side mission will be finished, but you’ll have to do something extra to get the trophy/achievement. You’ll be going to Terminus Range, the region towards the northeast portion of the map, where all of the Augers are located. Specifically, you want to go to the Windspear area, the northeastern one in Terminus Range. Look for the Maker’s Pike/Temple of the Predecessors locations, which will be right by Vile Lictor’s base of operations (just southeast of it). There is a Dead Bolt found here and not too far west of that will be a frozen body trapped in ice. That is Oddman and upon getting close enough, you should unlock the trophy/achievement.
