All Borderlands 4 Shift Codes

Anyone who has played a Borderlands game and have followed them closely, knows about SHiFT Codes. They have returned in Borderlands 4 and are pretty much done the same way. You can find some as they give out codes on social media, as well as through other means. These codes will usually give you a Golden Key that you can redeem at a Golden Chest in-game, netting you some powerful weapons, some of which are even Legendary! It should be noted that some Shift Codes are temporary, so if one isn’t working, then it might have already expired.

How to Redeem Shift Codes¶

To start, you need to have set up a Shift account, which you can do via the Shift website. Once you have done so and linked up your console/PC account, then you can start redeeming them. If on the website, go to the left side and select Rewards, then input the code. You can also redeem codes in-game, by going to the in-game pause menu, selecting Shift and then inputting the code in the box. It’s probably much easier to do it on a computer, since the codes are 25 characters and it’s always a nuisance using the console’s keyboard.

Once there, go to Rewards to see the box for redeeming codes.

Borderlands 4 Discord Quest Shift Code¶

There is one special code you can get by going to Discord and doing a quick quest there. Open up Discord and go to the Discover tab, which is the compass icon on the left side. Once you click that, you can then choose Quests, then scroll down until you see the Borderlands 4 Looter Quest one. You will have to choose the platform you’re on, then follow the instructions given to link everything up. After you’ve done this and the quest starts, boot up the game and play for a total of 15 minutes to finish the quest (it will progress in real time while the game is running).

Upon completing the quest, you will be able to get your code and redeem it using the method above. Note that this code will expire on September 25, 2025, so make sure you do it before then.

How to Redeem Golden Keys - Golden Chest Location¶

Now that you have Golden Keys, you might want to know how to use them in the game. Well, you will have to wait a tiny bit before being able to redeem them, since you need a Golden Chest. The first one you come across will be at The Launchpad, a faction town you discover in one of the first story missions. Once you have full access to all of the facilities there, the Golden Chest will show up on the map.

Note that when you use a Golden Key, all of the items in the chest will be scaled to your current level, so it might be a good idea to wait until you’re a higher level before redeeming said keys. That’s because the earlier levels are fairly easy to breeze by and you might end up getting stuck with a lower level weapon.
