Increasing Max Oxygen - Standard Air Tank
Colonist Bunker (Anita's Garden) Location
There are few things more precious in Subnautica 2 than inventory space, and while you can build storage units when you build your first base - a welcome boon in its own right - it’s no substitute for increasing your personal storage capacity. For that, you need to find the Biobeds created by other colonists, which are usually found in their functional - but now abandoned - dwellings. This page will guide you to the Colonist Bunker (Unauthorized NOA Modification) in Subnaturica 2.

Colonist Bunker - Unauthorized NOA Modification Location¶
This Colonist Bunker is a bit of a swim from your Lifepod, but it’s not a particularly dangerous swim, nor do you need a great supply of oxygen to make it to your destination. Compared to Colonist Bunker (Anita’s Garden, it should be a pretty safe trek - no dangerous enemies, no caves to dive into, no currents to navigate, just one notable open water dive near the end.
From your Lifepod you want to swim Southwest around 250 meters. Eventually you should find some cliffs dropping off into the depths - if you don’t go far enough west you’ll find these sooner, but this is no problem, as you can just follow the cliffs generally southwest. Do not descend at this point, just skirt the edge of these cliffs until you find some stone spires rising out of the sea floor to the south, southwest
At these spires you’ll want to descend down two shelf levels towards some ruins on the second shelf. These ruins may prove interesting on their own: Beneath the ruins you can find find a Dive Elevator you can scan and inside are many, many objects to scan, notably a Power Transmitter, a Processor and a Foot Locker, among others. You can also find recipes for the High Capacity Air Tank and Room, if you don’t already have them from elsewhere.
While a nice source of loot in their own right, the ruins are mostly just a landmark - you’ll find the bunker hatch on the cliff to the north, northeast.
Interact with the Biobed to permanently improve you inventory space.
This is all just icing on the cake. From these ruins look at the cliff to the north, northwest and you’ll find a Hatch built into the stone face. Swim on inside to find the Colonist Bunker (Unauthorized NOA Modification). This is just shy of 90 meters under water, so if you haven’t upgraded your oxygen capacity you’ll have to avoid dawdling too much. The interior of the bunker has breathable air, though, so you don’t have to worry about holding anything in reserve for a return trip!
Colonist Bunker - Unauthorized NOA Modification Contents¶
Interact with and scan the Biobed in the corner to get a recipe (if you need it) and more importantly, +3 inventory slots. Big win! In addition you can scan the Single Bed, Floor Locker, Rebreather, Power Storage, S Shelf, and a Tadpole Fragment. You can also find some Copper Wire and an Advanced Wiring Kit, along with the Nahema - Was I Murdered? Data Download.
All in all, this can prove quite a haul for a new player, just be sure to create a Scanner before coming down here to maximize your gains!
