How to Craft Ingots - Processor

At some point in your journey, you’ll soon discover that items you need to make will require ingots, which you cannot make on your own. In order to craft any kind of ingot, you’ll need a Processor, a piece of equipment that will take some of your valuable resources and make ingots out of them. Of course, that’s not all the Processor does, as it can sometimes offer alternative blueprints for some items. For example, if you need [Water], then you can put some Fibrous Pulp in the Processor to make it, instead of doing it the normal way with Water Slugs.

Processor Blueprint Location

Before you can do anything, you will need to make sure you have the blueprint for the Processor, as it isn’t available to you by default. Thankfully, there is only a single item to scan, although you do have to explore a section of the default area that has an aggressive fish. Thus, you will probably want to bring along some Distraction Flares so you don’t get snacked on by the fish. From the Lifepod, you’ll want to head to the northeast, going in that direction until you find a large wreck.

(1 of 3) Locate the big wrecked ship to the northeast of the Lifepod.

You’ll know you’re in the correct spot, because there will be a big fish that comes after you. Either ignore it, or toss a Distraction Flare to get it away from you. The goal here is to find a way into the wreckage, which you do by going underneath and looking for the opening there. It might be a good idea to do this after getting the [Standard Air Tank], since that allows you to breathe underwater longer. Once you find the entrance to the inside part of the wreck, head straight to the back to find the Processor laying on the floor in the back. Scan it to add the machine to your collection of things to craft.

Craft a Processor

Unlike some of the machines you will make throughout your adventure, the Processor is only available through the Habitat Builder. Make sure you have some decent space at your base, as well as some good power, as the Processor uses 10 power. Building the Processor itself requires the following materials:

  • Copper Wire (x1)
  • Mild Acid (x1)
  • Titanium (x2)

Copper Wire just requires two Coppers, while the Mild Acid requires a single Copper and two Acidic Raion Pouches. It doesn’t take too long to make the Processor, so it should be pretty easy for you. Once you have it, place it inside your base and you can begin using it!

You select the recipe you want on the left side of the Processor.

Each item you make will take some real-life time to make.

Making Ingots

The Processor is pretty easy to use, so let’s do a quick overview of it. On the left side is where you place items into the Processor, and at the bottom is where you can change the recipe being used. So, select the recipe, put the items into the Processor and you then just have to simply wait for the item to be done. Titanium Ingots, for example, take 30 seconds, but there are other items that can take upwards of two minutes. Depending on what you need, it can be a while, so it’s a good idea to do something else (either in-game or in real life), while things run.
