It looked like some people had made this place their hideout. After an initial investigation, I discovered it was a place where “Followers” would gather to pray.

Anyway, further investigation is needed. If theres a passcode specialist out there, come take a look. If theres something useful inside, its a blessing for Xion. If not, oh well.

Now that I retired from the Sentinels, all I have left is my wife’s fish tank.

Looking at the fish tank lessens the pain of losing my wife. However, this morning, I found one of the Porcupinefish dead in the tank. It saddens me to see that only one Porcupinefish remains to swim in the tank.

The client, a retired Sentinel, has only one important thing left in his life: his wife’s water tank.

However, there are a variety of life forms underwater. Im talking about fish. Aren’t fish organic life forms? I’m researching how to turn organic life forms into energy.

If I succeed, I will be able to channel the energy I get from the fish to Body Cells. Though one fish may yield a very small amount of energy, it won’t be a problem if I learn how to breed them.

This one Scavenger used to breed Halibuts near the clock tower in Eidos 7. I need some Halibut to use as samples. Can anyone catch some for me?

In my father’s journal, I read about the Whale Shark, a legendary fish. He wrote that the fish is as big as a house. He had not seen it himself, but he heard it from Clyde, who witnessed the gigantic fish.

After learning of its existence, catching the Whale Shark became my father’s sole purpose. He even set aside his responsibilities as a Scavenger to fulfill his goal.

If Whale Sharks are prospering out there, it means the Earth is healing, right? That’s why my father was after the huge fish—to give hope to the people of Xion. Even though I share the same goal, I know that I’m not a good enough fisher to catch it.

I joined the event hosted by Lucid Dream, the sole photography club in Xion. My mission was to photograph cats throughout the city,
but I stumbled upon cat paintings instead of real cats.
Amidst the cold cityscape, these paintings felt like the last whispers of hope remaining in Xion.

I was certain I got on the elevator, but when I opened my eyes, I found myself stuck upside down in what looked like a junkyard. Can you imagine how I felt, my mademoiselle? Its the first time Ive been upside down like that since… Hmm? My memorys a bit fuzzy. Has that really happened before? Never mind, forget I said anything—I was merely thinking out loud.

Anyway, as I lay there, a loud barking snapped me out of it. It was Volt, causing a scene after being caught by some box-shaped robot. I dealt with the thing in one swift strike and rescued Volt.

From there, things just took a weird turn. Volt and I somehow made it back to the elevator, and only then did I realize we had escaped with nothing but our lives, having lost all our important belongings.

I wont bore you with the details, so Ill cut to the chase. Ive concluded that the box robots are suspicious. Im sure theyre the ones who took everything we lost.

That said, I cant just go around slashing every robot I see. So, I had Volt sniff out a few suspicious ones for us.

The first one is supposedly down in the chaotic canyon north of the Wasteland. Seek out the place, and if you find something like a hat, do bring it back. Volt will be with you to lend a hand.

At Scarlet’s request, I tracked down the drone that had stolen the item and, after a bit of commotion, managed to retrieve the military cap.

It didn’t seem particularly special, but the emblem embedded on it carried a faint sense of nostalgia.

For a moment, I glanced down, wondering what someone else might think if they saw the symbol of the 7th Airborne Squad engraved on my nano suit.

Ive been trying to figure out how I ended up here, but Im at a loss.

Truth is, I had just finished chasing and capturing Volt, and then took the elevator back to the outpost. Nothing out of the ordinary up until that point…

Now Im just hoping the elevator will take me back to the outpost again.

At a time like this, a drink would be just the thing I need—though this really isnt the best time for it. If it were a better time, Id offer my mademoiselle one as well, but alas.

Forgive me for rambling. The second box robot seems to be located near a cliff overlooking some strange ruins in the Wasteland. Seek out the place, and if you find a can or any other items, bring them back. Volt here will help you.

After an unexpected confrontation with the drone that had stolen the item, I recovered the can of sparkling water.

It was hard to make sense of the claim that it would help you lose weight. The concept doesn’t seem to hold water, given that no one has ever seen it work.

What also bothered me was that the can was very similar to the electrolyte solution cans scattered across the Wasteland. It’s probably just a coincidence, but who knows?

Although Ive asked you to retrieve various lost items, none of them belong to me—and therein lies the problem.

This story goes back to when I was chasing after Volt.

The rascal was running around causing trouble and, in his mischief, bit into a package that My Lord had carefully hidden to gift the mademoiselles. He did it on impulse, and once he realized someone was chasing him, he instinctively started running and causing a ruckus.

He ended up bolting straight to the surface, and, in trying to catch him, I got caught up in the mess.

I managed to grab Volt and snatch the package back, thinking it was all over, but…no such luck.

So, about that third robot, my mademoiselle. Volt caught a scent of something near the ruins past the remnants of a tunnel north of the desert. If you find something that looks like a parasol, be sure to carefully bring it back to me. Im counting on you.

At Scarlet’s request, I tracked down the drone that had stolen the item. There were some issues, but I successfully recovered Dorothy’s Parasol.

The color and quality of the product gave the impression it was a luxury item. I figured it was meant to make the user feel as if they were somehow more valuable.

However, the explanation that it was a sun-protection device didn’t make sense to me. It made me realize that someone might look at my Bloodedge, gear, or exospine, hear their purpose explained, and still not fully understand what they do.

Im not exactly sure what happened when I got here.

All I know is that I was on the elevator, heading back to the outpost with Volt and a gift bundle in hand.

As soon as the doors closed, there was a loud crash, and the elevator started shaking and swaying in all directions. At first, I thought we were under attack by Raptures, but that wasnt it. Then I thought maybe the elevator had broken down, but Im not even sure about that.

Ah, I even wondered if I was drunk and all of this—Volt, the bundle, the elevator—was just a dream. Honestly, that wouldnt be so bad.

But anyway, whats done is done. So, about the fourth bucket of bolts, my mademoiselle. Volt says its near the Collapsed Overpass in the center of the Great Desert. Take a look, and if you find a rabbit doll, bring it back. Im counting on you, my mademoiselle.

I tracked down the drone that stole the item at Scarlet’s request. There were some complications, but I successfully recovered the rabbit doll.

I admit, I don’t fully understand the significance of these items, but I came to terms with the fact that it’s something precious to its owner.

And for some reason, I’m starting to think that it would suit Lily well. After all, Lily has a habit of attaching her name to everything, whether it’s “Lily” or “Artemis,” as a way of showing some sort of affection.

I found myself in an unexpected bind, but it doesnt seem all that bad. After all, I met a friend.

Oh, was I being too forward? I thought we had a thing going on, my mademoiselle…

In truth, I never imagined Id run into another swordfighter in such a strange place. But I believe that good blades can recognize each other. Wouldnt you agree?

Ah, Im not even drunk, but there I go again, blabbering away. Anyway, my mademoiselle, Ill tell you my last request.

The final box robot seems to be emitting a scent near the intersection in the southern area of the Great Desert. Go take a look, and if you find the Commander Doll, Id appreciate it if you could recover it for me. Im counting on you.

I tracked down the drone that stole the item at Scarlet’s request, and successfully recovered the commander doll with no major issues.

I understood that they have a culture of creating items based on their commander and showing respect for them. The idea is interesting, but I couldn’t help but think it would make more sense to show respect directly to the source.

If Tachy were made into a soft item like this…a logical error might arise from this line of thinking, so I think I’ll stop fantasizing about that for now.
